Thank you for your future support. In this channel, I plan to upload review videos of wristwatches and videos showcasing the process of creating modified watches. The reviews will primarily focus on affordable watches, including those purchased on AliExpress or in Japan. For the mod watch creations, I aim to create videos that make the creation process easy to understand. Please consider subscribing to the channel. Thank you in advance.
hey man I have a question since you're a watch guy , do you think a 28.5mm dial can fit into a 42mm case diameter? will there be gaps around the perimeter?
Thank you for your comment. Even with a 42mm watch case, if a 28.5mm dial matches the product specifications, there will be no gap. This is due to the thickness of the exterior and the shape of the case. Of course, there are also cases where a 28.5mm dial does not fit a 42mm case, so i recommend carefully checking the product details.
Thanks for your comment. I don’t really do any maintenance on my mod watches. I often open them up, close them, and change the hands, so the accuracy isn't great. For now, I recommend assembling with the NH38. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, the strap is optimized for a Chinese-made case designed for mods, so it is likely that it won't fit properly on an original SEIKO case.
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
For the money, these fake MoonSwatches are an incredible buy. I own this one and I also bought a complete set of the originals. I really bought them for display purposes only but I have been wearing the Saturn on and off for over a year. I did have to replace the battery after about one year but that was very easy to do. The watch still looks and runs great and keeps very accurate time.
Moonswatch, Blancpain X watch or when the Chinese copiers do a better job than the Swatch Group. By taking customers for morons, they end up leaving. To buy crap, you might as well pay as little as possible.
Interesting video. most chroographs have the chronograph adjust feature. If you want more subscriptions consider the following: Please please please turn the annoying looping piano music down it is annoying and WAY too loud compared to the rest of the audio or better yet get rid of it completely. Also please don't use AI voice. it lacks personality and sounds terrible.
ARE YOU EVEN A PROFESSIONAL?? This is not a fake watch. its very much real. Its a collaboration between omega and swatch. I can point out several mistakes you have made. Pls handle it with care.
Is this the link to this watch from AliExpress? The product and the seller have already been removed. Please try searching with an image search. I think the one without the box for around $20 is the same. There is no logo on the product image.
Great Video! Can you tell us where you purchased the hands? I cannot seem to find them. Also, I'm assuming this is a 31mm Dial with 9x12x14mm hands? I can't find set that includes small hand for NH39 movement. So your video is a great help. Thank you!
Thank you for your comment. The watch hands were purchased together with the dial. On the other hand, I bought separate NH35-compatible minute and hour hands and assembled them. Please refer to the link below. Thank you. Watch dial and hands a.aliexpress.com/_oEYsKR6 Hour and minute hands a.aliexpress.com/_ooa4nHS Watch case a.aliexpress.com/_oDimm9W
While still feels like a toy compared to my actual Omega or even a homage still light years ahead of this fake. The plastic alone looks very low quality the fonts are worse. If you are spending 310 for the real one buy a used Bulova Lunar Pilot. If you spend 20 on this junk buy a Casio instead.
Thank you for your comment. I created the logo image using Canva. It's easy to use, so I recommend it. I ordered the metal stickers from AliExpress. They will make them if you send them an image. There are several sellers, but I ordered from a seller called 'Shop4418155 store.' They are very quick to communicate and I highly recommend them.
Thank you for your comment. The small 24-hour hand is similar to the second hand. Therefore, I did not use a tool like a watch hand pusher. Instead, once it was properly aligned in the hole, I lightly pressed it with the flat part of tweezers to attach it.
Thank you for your comment. Here are the assembly costs. You can probably get everything at a 20% discount if you purchase during a sale. I plan to make a video with more details in the future. ・Logo sticker: $20 (MOQ 20 pieces) ・Movement: $30 ・Watch case (including metal band): $25 ・Dial and hands: $18 ・Rubber strap: $10
Thanks for your comment. I wouldn’t really recommend modding a genuine SEIKO watch. One issue with Chinese cases for SEIKO mods is that they often require a dial size of 28.5mm, limiting the variety of cases available. This is especially true for divers' watches, where there are many cases available, but for watches like the SEIKO Presage with larger dials, there are hardly any aftermarket cases that surpass the originals. Sorry I can’t offer any suggestions.
Thank you for your comment. The craftsmanship of the case is excellent, with smooth, rounded edges. However, as you mentioned, despite the case being small, it is quite thick. The fit on the wrist is not ideal, and it requires adjustment with a thicker strap.
I just buy the same Tandorio, without logo and this red dial and I can only say that it is impressive, very good quality for 60 dolars. And the color of the dial it´s beautiful, well done. The Seiko NH36 its accurate and works well too. I have nothing negative to say, its a cheap beast.
Thank you for the comment. If you're looking for a dial, try searching for 'monster dial' on AliExpress. Alternatively, you can use a screenshot of the dial from the video and search for it on AliExpress using image search. You should be able to find it that way.
Only issue i see is the endlinks. The ones on OEM 62Mas are way more defined. I also noticed the same thing on their SPB185 case & bracelet which led me to mod and file an MM300 bracelet from heimdallr to fit.
Thank you for the comment. As you mentioned, the end links of the genuine SPB143 bracelet have a more pronounced central line. Personally, I think this case and bracelet are of high quality for their price. If you're interested, it's best to assemble them from genuine parts or OEM parts. Also, the clasp is completely different in construction compared to the genuine one. Just the cost of an authentic clasp could buy you a Chinese case and bracelet.
Thank you for the comment. It's encouraging for my video creation. In this video, I manually expanded the hole with a file, but using a router would make expanding the center hole much easier. Also, in another video, I'm trying to create an nh38 dial, which has a similar issue of limited variations like the nh34 dial. If you're interested, please watch it on my channel page. Thank you very much.
Just did a similar time -lapse recording with my own new Pindu wandering hour watch, as it LOOKS so mesmerizing. Yet the mechanism appears to be fairly simple, all is driven by bread-and-butter movements like the Miyota 8215, with an extra planetary gear layer to speed up the hour ring. A little pin rotates the hour dials prior to their pointing position - that's all, folks. Not sure what to think about these Pindu Design watches. They have some very odd looking, pseudo-complicated models, their prices differ hugely over time. My wandering hour cost a mere $148, way below any other brand with such a watch face. But I also so the same model offered at $300, closer to an Olto-8. Japanese Miyotas are quite OK, the Pindu materials and workmanship is so-so, clearly aiming at budget collectors like me. Assuming that this extra load on the mechanics creates serious friction to the movement I wonder how a 8215 can keep up the needed energy supply? What will the overall runtime be and settle to? Certainly less than the specified 42hr. Time will tell (pun intented)!
Thanks for your comment. It's true that it looks like a strange and complex watch, yet it offers good value for money, doesn't it? Collecting watches in the $100-200 range is also a hobby of mine, and I've definitely spent quite a bit on it. Indeed, adding circular disk gimmicks could increase the strain on the movement and shorten the power reserve. Although I don't use it frequently, I quite like it for its uniqueness.
@@PakiraWatchMOD Same here. I have a small collection (around 130 so far), many of them Chinese mechanical watches with a 'kick', something special: retrograde hands, real moonphases, power indicators (even a rare ST2533 LINEAR power pointer), chronographs, tourbillons, this wandering hour etc. Currently I am hunting for a jump hour watch, but they are still above my price limit. I DO have a few pricier Swiss/Japanese/German/Russian watches, none exceeded $600 (even my 7750 and 7751 ETAs). But I enjoy the budget models more. I am not afraid to open these and adjust them for better accuracy. Chinese watches are better than many think, can be reliable and rugged. Creating animated timelapse movies is rather difficult for me, because none of my devices does it right. Currently I am stuck with hundreds of JPGs from an old Olympus SP590-UZ, fighting with FFMPEG over a decent join to MP4. As yours mine also suffer from stable lighting conditions, may have to repeat all without direct sunlight. Something to play with..
I'm also satisfied with the accuracy of Chinese-made mechanical watches. I've never had any issues with the precision of Chinese movements like those from Seagull. I think Japanese movements are also commonly used in Chinese watches because they are affordable. As you mentioned, due to their affordability, one can easily open up and tinker with watches without hesitation. While it's possible to create beautiful time-lapse videos with high-end equipment, I tried shooting with my old Galaxy S8.
@@PakiraWatchMOD Bang for the bucks is not a bad strategy: On Jan-1 I began an new challenge: wear a cheap Chinese watch until it exceeds a total of 60s error, put it back into the watch case and take the next one: as of May-1 I was at watch #4, a very simple $40 Forsining with an automatic Seagull ST1780 (date, power indicator). And that was still well within my tolerance range. I doubt that my ETA 7751 or Poljot 31679 could reach this level of accuracy, I hardly ever wear these precious chronos. Whenever I buy one of these cheap China things I test it on the bench with software on a self-made microphone socket (Tickoprint e.a. for Android), vertically/horizontally to check the spread. Then I tweak it to a symmetric offset around zero. Typically mechanical watches run slower in vertical position, faster when placed face up or down. This way it is very easy to check the daily offset and simply place it V or H on the nightstand - good for a month or more. A power indicator and a constant spring load will help as well 8-) You have or know of any favorite 'odd' watch Made In China that I should check out (and do not have)? I love unique complications, still want a watch with the Lindberg hour-angle scales (that NOBODY seems to make but Longines). My weirdest is the forementioned Seagull ST2533 in an un-labeled Panderai mock-up case, this movement is very unusual due to its horizontal power pointer by a gear rack. This Pindu wandering hour watch I will wear for a while, now that it running better than after its arrival. Makes for some neat coffee table discussions about the 400 year old (!) idea. It is hardly known by anyone, even by watch enthusiasts. I opted for the NON-transparent version, which adds to the mystery and readability; on the other hand it hides the planetary gear cage, which is quite entertaining by itself as you demonstrate here.. oh well.
Thank you for the comment. Regarding the mod watch thumbnail, it uses the dial from the SPB297 model. Please try searching for 'SPB297' on AliExpress. You can purchase OEM grade dials there.
Thank you for your comment. You can purchase the dial on AliExpress. Please refer to other comments as well. Also, since you can do image searches, try capturing and searching for images.
Even if there is no logo in the product photo, if the product description mentions 's logo,' I believe there is a logo on the dial. I think confirming with the seller is the most reliable way.
