I want my channel to be about sharing my hobbies with you in a step-by-step, “behind the scenes” style. Hobbies I want to share include making fantasy maps, writing novels, playing D&D and other TTRPGS, telling stories, drawing, worldbuilding, creating TCGs, and discussing pop culture. Expect my videos to be casual, conversational, and hopefully a bit educational as well. :)
Keep on drawing. Once you understand the basic forms and shapes you can basically draw anything. Also, just copy drawings from images. No better way to learn how to draw than by shamelessly copying others' work. Start with easy stuff like a Spider-man or a Batman or Bugs Bunny or something without too much detail needed. Then once you're feeling secure enough go on to drawing something completely different like monsters or flowers/animals to keep it fun and to switch it up from what you usually draw. It also helps loosen up your lines, making you draw more from the wrist and hand movement instead of just the fingers. You'll get there. Don't worry. I've been doing it for 35 years and i'm still learning new stuff every day.
Your designs improved, your line confident improved. Results are great, but you still have to learn basics of art, like anotomy, perspective, construction etc. I really like your video I hope you keep going on your art journey.
Keep it up dude I can already see a serious improvement! You can only get better (believe it or not sometimes lol) "All big things come from small beginnings. The seed of every habit is a single, tiny decision. But as that decision is repeated, a habit sprouts and grows stronger. Roots entrench themselves and branches grow…the task of building a good habit is like cultivating a delicate flower one day at a time." - James Clear
Thank you for the kind words man. I appreciate the realistic perspective of large growth over time coming from small increments. Knowing that you’re real drawing pro who has put in the work makes the advice really meaningful!
Good video, maybe to improve the quality it would be great to see what is happening on your table but otherwise, I think your explanations are good! The sun backlighting was a bit annoying at times. The leaf blower was hearable but was not that bothering. About that mastery bar, it is unfortunately not included in this Character Sheet but on the Runehammer's forums, the best Master Edition character sheet imho is MattSlaton's. PS: There are even more settings if you count the ones in the SCI PUNK Anthology (Xeno Dead Zone being an Alien / Starship Troopers setting, Bearcats being a weird and magical students after the Apocalypse setting and Altered State being the Cyberpunk setting) and Hard Suits (a setting with exo-suits against colossal creatures [it also introduces the mechanic of size in ICRPG]).
I really appreciate all of the helpful feedback! I agree, the lighting is pretty bad and seeing what's going on at the table would be a helpful addition. I'm glad the leaf blower isn't too loud haha. I also appreciate the info about the mastery bar info, I'll look into that other character sheet! ICRPG is such a great system with so many settings! I have looked into them and they seem awesome! I am especially interested in the Hardsuit setting and would love to make a video on it some time in the future!
@@joshs_boxes you're very welcome bud! Hope you can improve the lighting next time 😊 Yeah so no probs about the leaf blower Definitely, do check it (there's a lot of different character sheets available on the forums even setting specific ones too, very great content there) Totally agree, ICPRG is an awesome system (even though it was my first as a GM) and it's got so many awesome settings and I'm looking forward to some Hardsuit (or any other) content!
I got the physical copy from backing the Mission Manual kickstarter years ago. I just checked and it looks like the physical copy is sold out right now, but you can still get a PDF copy at the link in the description.
Fantastic adventure! You did a great job tying all of the roll table results together. Would love to see what you can do with the tables from Mission Manual.
Also two more things: 1. Your beard looks 🔥 2. What is your comment on Lego making so many new pieces? Do you think they should stick to the originals more? Or do the new pieces allow for new and cooler builds?
Thanks man! Good question. I think the new pieces can make sets cooler and I prefer the more modern look, but I know that lots of people prefer the classic Lego look.
This is super cool man, I never thought about how hard it would be to come up with entirely new animals! A flying skunk sounds dope Also I think you're a pretty good artist 😍
Haha, I appreciate the kind words man. As a fellow artist, I'm sure you know how we can be our own worst critics. I will admit though, the flying skunk is an idea I think is pretty awesome. You're the best man!
This map is pretty cool! I do wonder how tricky it would be to convert this into a slim resin model, tiered for hills and mountains etc but not generally any thicker overall than let's say 12mm or so 😮
@@joshs_boxes no worries haha, yeah I thought maybe not mega 3D but just something thin that you could layer easily will resin one bit at a time. Almost like a topographic view lol
