Leo Kottke is amazing!! Thanks for posting these wonderful recordings on RU-vid! I bought this album nearly 50 years ago not knowing who Leo K was but shocked and very pleased when I first played this recording 😮
I purchased this wonderful album back in 1975. I was a member of the Record Club of America and I never heard of Leo Kottke but bought this album because I was intrigued by the title. I bought several other Leo K albums in the '70's and I still have the majority of them. Leo's talent is truly amazing and he sings quite well on this album. ** Thanks so much for posting this recording on RU-vid!! ** Please post Part 2 of this album if possible.
I've been listening since a wee lad. Early 1970s albums seem to be reflective and genius. I put this album up there with Lennon's Plastic One Band- Mother album, Graham Nash's- Songs For Beginners, Chris Bell's- I Am The Cosmos, Mike Scott's Bring 'em All In, McCartney's 1st, Todd Rundgren- Something/ Anything, T. Rex (1970) Album, and a bunch of other great albums that are from the heart, not mind. this album to me is a masterpiece.
I remember when I was young going into the album store and asking what I should buy. The clerk showed me this album and told this guy is an up and coming singer so I bought it. I didn't realize at the time what a treasure I got
Musical nostalgia is bitter-sweet and evokes feelings of beauty: intense pleasure mixed with overtones of sadness -- this Invitation accomplishes both. Thank you!
So, so glad that this song was created as it has the love to touch your heart & the power to heal your soul!! Thank you Andrea, my Brutha in spirit. R.I.S
