Never noticed that inverted classic suit in the game and ive been playing it for 12 years lol. That really sucks actually wish they woulda made a full on classic suit as an option amongst all the edginess
The Alex Ross suit is actually Raimi’s interpretation of the suit, which was actually the original suit they were going to use in the first film. You can actually still find the trailer that had the clip of him landing on a roof in the same suit.
I have a headcanon to this game that the Spectacular Spider-Man and EoT Spider-Man are the same, just on the grounds that they're both voiced by Josh Keaton and you could reason that Spectaculars simplistic web pattern and logos would evolve and get sharper and more erratic has he matures into adulthood
Weird thing about the Future Foundation Suit, is that the default white/black suit IS IN THE GAME, but only in the PS3 version iirc, so while i get your theory on most suits being focused on stealth, it's weird that the stealth suit isn't on all versions of the game.
its sad to see that my favorite spiderman game of all time only has 6 costumes max and an unchangeable venom one, like i get time constraints and some stuff but like... at least make it 8 or 9 costumes max
Im not 100 percent but i believe the Alex Ross suit did get screen tested and made in real life i believe there was an E3 trailer where you could very very briefly see it
@@ShockwaveFPSStudios thats cause the stealth one is exclusive to the 360 version games did stuff like this back then an example would be ben 10 cosmic destruction where the 360 had the alien rath and the ps3 had four arms
I believe the normal Raimi suit in this game was actually a scrapped model for the cancelled spiderman 4 video game. Beenox most likely took the model and updated it to fit the requirements for animation and gameplay. And as for the black suit they definitely just changed the color and swapped logos. Wouldve been cool to see the eye lenses go higher up like the film, but it's a missed detail a lot of companies get wrong.
ive got a soft spot for this game ngl, this game and edge of time were my first spiderman games the combat was also fire even tho it was a dumbed down version of arkham combat
The combat in both the TASM games was really the epitome of Arkham freeflow ripoffs without anything new to add, since Batman at least lets you mix it up with gadgets, but one thing that always surprises me when comparing the combat in TASM 1 and 2, it's how the first game at least has way more exciting and flashy animations. Like Spider-Man BEATS these people's asses. Not sure why they decided to tone that down for the sequel despite not improving the system in any way to make up for it

People saying Insomniac Spider-Man combat is a Arkham ripoff are spewing nonsense and have literally no clue what they're talking about, but for TASM it 100% applies. And no, Arkham's counter is not as clean of a ripoff of the Spider-Man 2 and 3 Spider-Sense as people sometimes pretend it is. It can definitely have worked as inspiration, but the systems work almost entirely different
