Admiral Radio, the husband-and-wife duo of Coty Hoover and Becca Smith, wants to leave audiences better than they found them. With a sonic tapestry that weaves traditional folk and modern roots, AR crafts a heartfelt performance through tight-knit harmonies and a palpable sincerity that makes you roll with laughter and shed a few tears. After opening up for acclaimed acts like Del McCoury and Judah & the Lion, recording with members of Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, and multiple songwriting accolades (below), this SC-based act is taking leaps of faith to share their songs and stories with listeners across the country. With a name coined after their vintage radio, the duo is redefining what it means to gather 'round the radio in modern times.

I’d have to think that if Bob listened to this, he’d be a pleased man. Probably a little presumptuous of me.Hope you play this at The Shady Grove in September.
What a compliment! Thanks, David. We actually got to see him play just last year. A very cool experience. We'll absolutely bring this one to Shady Grove 😃
Bob Dylan composed it and Becca & Coty immortalized it. I love Admiral Radio, I love you both, your version of Girl From The North Country is already mine and my girlfriend's theme song. Happy Valentine's Day (in Brazil it is on 12/06).
yep! you're right on the money. we filmed this in our home state of SC in Columbia. Nice and lush here. Maybe one day we'll sing this in the state it was inspired by!
Oh My! That is simply beautiful! Lovely location, lovely song, great harmonies - all backed up with terrific musicianship. What more could anyone wish for? Could listen to you two all day, and then some! Thank you both!
This is very real, after my wife passed I had to keep busy, so I did all the little things around the house that we had been putting off. She never nagged about anything but I know there were several things that she would have wanted done sooner rather than later, I did them all and more. We started dating at fifteen, and she was seventy when she died a year ago last March. My wish would be to be able to tell her that those items have been taken care of. Thank you for this video and this song.
I was so moved reading this. I kept my mom's experience after losing my dad in mind when working on the video, but I really hoped we would get it right for those who are living with the loss of a long-term partner. Thank you so much for sharing your story and your feedback.
This means everything. Thank you so much for sharing this. We know you feel her presence every time you cross something off that list. That's the kind of love most people never find in this world, and it's a love that has no end. Thank you so much again for sharing your story. It inspires us to continue making music.
@@admiralradiomusic The devastating truth of the matter is that most successful marriages end with one partner having to say goodbye to the other as they pass. The most we can hope for (and I had that) is to have a partner who looks at you, like your wife looks at you in your videos.
Thank you for the kind words! We released our version of this on our EP "Songs from the Vault" that you can find anywhere you stream music. Let us know what you think!
