The paint and decals from the 90's are absolutely awesome. The bikes today are no where near ass good as the old ones...c'mon man, don't shit talk the style. I have a 96 all original with the purple seat and all, wouldn't change a thing!
Hi! I have to change the carburetor for my suzuki dr350S, it is a mikuni bst33ss. You will know if it supports the carburetor of the dr350R mikuni tm33, or you know any other that can be placed, since the original is not available.
I'm sure you've probably already sorted out the rear light issue. I lost access to my desert ghost RU-vid channel but I have one under my name that I'll send a link to. If by chance you still have questions I'd be happy to share what knowledge I have. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OMtFwhXZPB8.html
Really awesome looking bike I want to get my bike as good looking as yours man. I live in CO so we're up here in elevations and sometimes I feel my bike bogging down if I'm opening her up on the highway so I'm thinking it could be alt with the carb not being jetted correctly.?
When you said at 10:10 that you were going to do a shout out to other channels I was thinking everide. Absolutely. Inspirational for the motorcycle community. Thank you for your video. I'm looking at buying a dr350 here in the U.K.
You should cut the back part of the front mud guard as you are stopping wind and air getting to your air cooled engine , apart from that great bike , can't wait to get mine .
I rode my brothers DR350se years ago. Rode it til he sold it and I d idn't have the $800 he was asking. A few years ago, I found one in San Diego, except for a slightly bent sub frame where the rear brake is, it was pristine. I think this is my favorite dual sport ever. Great quality, won't win many races, but looks nice and runs great. I figured out LED turns, and have a flasher that makes a loud beeping noise--enough that people in cars can hear it. I live in a city, it's just a fine city bike. I'm retired (old) and I think I'm never going to part with it.
Been having a really hard time nailing down what I need to do to get LED blinker working front and back. Any chance you could do a tutorial and post it?
I had to wire in load resistors to get the turn signals to work properly. Supposedly there are led turn signal relays designed for led but the one I tried didn't work.
Mrpulldown on the ADVrider forums sells a no load relay that replaces the factory one behind the headlight. He also sells led signals. If you swap front and rear to led, you will also need a diode to make the indicator light on the dash work 🤙
Awesome video!! Thanks for motivating me to clean up mine. It’s been in the family for 20 years and I’m following step by step the mods you did. Can you please tell me how much of the tusk led brake light you cut in order to mount it Under the rear fender? Thanks in advance!
i have a question.. when you went to the tusk handguards converting to led., how did you get past the blinkers from all blinking at once. i just recently swiched to all led and no matter what side i turn on for the blinkers they both blink. was wondering how you got past that.
Do you have the blinkers wired to the "idiot light" on the dash? You will need to put a diode (acts as a one way valve) between the idiot light and the wiring that goes to the blinkers.
Nice bike. I have 96 dr350, same paint scheme. Can you please say size of the back tire? thanks! Besides that, I am working on getting the flashes right for led blinkers, I switched the relay behind headlight, going to try add the diodes tomorrow to the blinker signal light wires etc.
Thinking of picking up a 95 DR650. Original owner says he parked it after having some carb issues. He since has bought other bikes and this has just been sitting in storage. Is there a carb upgrade or any other quirks I should be aware about?
That bike looks great, man! I had a '91 DR350SE that I bought new and rode until '05. Now I have a DR650, mostly for street, and an XR250R for the mountain trails. Anyway just wanted to say your bike looks great, you've done a lot to it and I bet it's a lot of fun in the mountains. I checked out the E M Razorback video and that is some awesome looking single track! Very similar terrain to the trails I ride in Colorado, extremely fun!
I have the same bike same year but its all stock. i feel like its slow and im looking to get some work done on it but i dont know whats the best thing to do because some people say if i work on it and get all these mods it wont be as reliable
like you i was years away from the sport, was lucky enough to pick up 2 drs a93 and97e. kept the97 mostly stock, mod the hell out of the93 for dirt only. the one mod idid on both was the relocation of the battery. turned out to be rather simple, cut the airbox enough to fit batt with some foam, and run a KN filter. the rest of the bike design is great. love them both.
thanks for the vid. I have a KLR and thinking about a smaller bike. I also live in Utah and ride the west desert and mountians love to ride with you sometime.
