There's been different structures built there over the years using the dead-fall. I used to back down in that area 15 years ago and we re-built the one that was down there as a place to hangout and eat lunch/snacks. Someone took what we built and added to it
Fun fact hiked there yesterday and put my name and 2021 on a poll at the top also put a doll on a stick but with these Lethbridge winds it’s probably knocked down
They haven’t had a second floor for too long cause my family has gone there one in a while the past years and never till this year we senna second floor
It's not that bad at all, if you can walk on a sidewalk you can walk on this ledge. If you think that's bad, I've seen kids on the summit Mt. Lady Macdonald before. I have seen children on the chains at Mt. Yamnuska.
I agree. What's the point of doing that hike with kids? One slip and your life as you know it is over, because it literally IS your fault for taking them to their final resting place. There are accidents and then there are preventable occurances. Parents who choose to neglect the difference are not good parents and not deserving of the gift of having children.
I remember viewing this video before doing the hike and hesitating because of the exposure! Glad we decided to do it, it was the highlight of our trip to Alberta.
This is awesome, thanks for sharing. I remember when my father took me up to Crypt Lake/Waterton when I was about these kids' age. I'm headed back up there early August to explore again, can't wait.
No need to book before. The boat goes every day during the season. Sometimes twice a day. You should be fine to show up in the morning and pay for a ticket.
