For 80 years, The King’s College has educated young leaders to integrate their faith, ethics, and morality seamlessly into their lives and careers. The only traditional Christian liberal arts college or university located in the heart of New York City, King’s prepares students for principled leadership around the world.

Thank you, Susan, for encouraging people to do their own research. Between your and David Rohl's work, my understanding of history (and human nature!) has been greatly enhanced. When research is called "polemics", the declines of empires I read about in your "History of the Ancient World" seems to be a very real threat. Insisting that textual error be accepted as doctrine doesn't bode well for anyone--whether they're a "virgin" or not.
Henry’s opening address to moved me. It’s hearing this that makes me wish that I was part of some things so grand. Every student and alumnus of Kings College NYC should be proud that this legacy is attached to their lives.
The whole part of Wilson saying that a person being born in Saudi Arabia is better to be an atheist than a Muslim since he can still make a journey to Jesus is the height of hypocrisy and hubris. Typical Christian arrogance. Wilson is a monster and he doesn’t even know it
Lol I was offered a scholarship during my high school senior year in 2012 and I met D'Souza right before he was outed as having an affair and two years before he'd be convicted of fraud. I could smell a rat when D'Souza went on about how NYC is such a morally debased place and how only his little morally righteous, Evangelical house on a hill could spread the gospel to these lecherous New Yorkers. It honestly seemed like a cult. Also, D'Souza being outed as a hypocrite who couldn't even be faithful to his wife was just the perfect cherry on top of the Sundae of hypocrisy. Needless to say, I did not go to this college. And I'm very glad I didn't. In 2023, they lost accreditation, meaning the degrees all its alumni acquired are now useless and they have to all start over. Talk about dodging a bullet. Also, the college is de facto closed, so they can't even appeal the loss of accreditation. Who would've thought a cult masquerading as a genuine place of higher education was a bad place for students to attend?
I also tend to learn new languages to avoid translations. I have read two of her books and had absolutely no idea that Susan Wise Bauer shared this concern with me; I'm glad to know that!
Wilson: “Killing other races off is another way to survive.” Hitchens: “Sure, well that’s often enjoined in The Bible.” Ouch. Pastor Wilson really stepped on a rake with that one.
This is vaudeville wherein a misguided humourist chooses to earn a good living debating arrogant wankers. Altho Wilson is reasonable in his demand mankinds' rebellion be killed one sin at a time. "By what standard" is a revealing condemnation based in Wilsons desire for wishful thinking and Yahweh empowerment.I call this notion collective retardation but it includes all of the collected evils of a strange vermin like species. Yeshua be Jesus was often condemned by Christian scholars for his unusual perfection.
hitch was the most secular puritan i've seen. his ability to dodge questions of morality while simultaneously shaming people for not displaying the values of a good protestant seperatist is deserving of a medal in mental gymnastics.
Protestant values? Protestants believe in predestinationism. Hitchens didn't. Protestants believe in the priesthood of believers. Hitchens didn't. Protestants believe in salvation through grace. Hitchens didn't. Protestants believe in the profession of faith alone. Hitchens didn't. Protestants believe in divine command theory. Hitchens didn't. Protestants affirm the 10 commandments. Hitchens didn't. Protestants believe that Jesus is the son of God and God exists. Hitchens didn't. Yours is a moronic line of reasoning, an absolute dead-end, but I'm sure instead of defending it from these charges you'll cower away from this intellectual challenge and just repeat the same stale narrative in the future.
@@FightXScience-wh6kx Hitch dodged the scientific evidence of no free will by saying he has no choice but to believe in it.Therefore he did indeed believe in predestination.BTW predestinationism is not a word
Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchinsons, and Matt Dilahunty to this day cannot over come this stop gap. Christopher can’t because he has passed rest in peace. 🙏 my hope was that he came to accept the truth regarding man’s depravity
@@Arez455 So kinda like how you said something and that doesn't make it true? Now we just need to get to the bottom of who has better reasons for their belief. Is it the Christian dogmatist who relies on faith, scripture, and superstition or the professor of philosophy who teaches logic for a living? Who could it be? 🤔
Mathematics exists in this universe. There has always been the case, and will always be the case, that the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of any circle is a constant, Pi. Like God, mathematics exists outside time and is immune to the second law of thermodynamics because it does not decay, it is immortal, eternal, always truth. But mathematics does not want to control your personal life. She doesn't get upset if in the privacy of your life you play with your private parts. The state (king, president, troika, etc.) needs to control your life, otherwise there is no state but perpetual revolution. To control your life religion is a great tool: the vigilante is inside you. In all societies the high priest accompanies the king in official ceremonies.
You are attributing to Mathmatics personhood in your description. You are functionally making a God out of mathmatics when you attribute personhood to mathmatics
This was not a debate. This was a moderator just letting people talk as lomg as they'd like. Actual questions amd amswers woth a time limit would make it clear who is answering questions and who is deflecting them.
