Being new I didnt do starter packs in NOTHING. I must have at least 2000 wicks in different sizes , at least 100 pounds in different waxes. TONS of soy which I have found to be very difficult for me to get a hot throw out of. Wished I have seen your videos way before I started buying and buying and buying. UGH! Thank you for being so helpful. It is much appreciated
It is beautiful, but I can tell it’s Not scented… I’ve been working with gel candle for over a year, and I haven’t been able to find an expert on gel wax… I want to change the way people think of gel candles because the wax is made of 95% mineral oil and a lot of people think that it’s a bad wax, but it actually burns super clean… I think that the misconception about the gel wax is because years ago people used to make drink candles in vessels that were not heat resistant.
Thank you 😊 I have a glass that size and I am having the toughest time wicking it. I’m thinking of double wicking with the CDN-3 since it’s been the best choice even though it’s not my favorite
@@candleswithgreg appreciate that like I said it’s not my favorite plus the wax burns faster. I am going to try the zinc wick and CD 10-12 one more time
Thank you for the valuable information i am about to start collecting all the information i need to succeed. Still i am afraid. Thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge 🙏 ❤❤❤❤
thank u for ur video. question, did you calculate 26 grams of fragrance oil to unmelted or melted wax? as i think melted wax probably weighs different from unmelted if i m not mistaken
Wick testing cant be done without FO as 4 of them jars, wax, wick and FO should work togerto give best out of ou candles. I tried this one and most of my wicks drowned. (7 wicks cotton and eco)
Please answer this question for me as noone yet has. Do you have to do wick testing for every fragrance oil? Or when you find a wick that burns good with your wax your good to go and no more testing? Is this a constant testing process? I only do wax melts now cause candles seem to expensive for all the testing involved . I am glad I found tour channel cause your definitely easier to understand! I subscribed❤ ❤❤
Thanks, this is super helpful. Really liked the tip about using the dog nail trimmer tool to cut the wick; I always struggle with this step because the wax coating makes it difficult for my wick trimmer or a pair of scissors to work.
@@candleswithgreg I lean towards deeper FOs. I wish I could enjoy fruit FOs as is but sadly it's not meant to be. I was hoping for more sage in this blend.
@@candleswithgreg a custom blend or from a company. Everyone was reaching about Mango & coconut, and i love a good coconut scent, but it wasn't there for me. Well, to be fair, it was from MWFC and those scents have just been duds to me in a candle.
