It's funny how many people focused solely on getting everyone to survive and didn't appreciate the hilariousness of what happens when you see what happens when you fail the QTEs, especially when a log is involved. The developers spent a great deal of time adding those missed QTE animations and it would be a shame to not enjoy their work.
