Surely they have a parts store next to the phone or camera shop they bought the tech from or even could have ordered a new ball joint off ebay with the Internet connection they used to upload this video.....Or perhaps there very skilled in Mechanical engineers and smart enough to post there work on here so they get paid more for there Work......Fair Play...Good work and nice to see your video
Circumstances cause us to be creative and imaginative. That’s how some of us will survive in this cruel world 🌎 we live in. I used that rebuild ball joint and steering ends in my vehicle in my home country.
Hey, sometimes you've just gotta do it that way, especially when parts are sky high or unavailable. I made a new bearing out of a piece of #8 copper wire for the counterweight in a Kawasaki fc540v engine. It was on my John Deere 265. If I had ordered one, it would have taken way too long to arrive. So, I beat that sucker down to 0.060" on a piece of railroad iron with a big ball pein hammer. Then, I curled it and cut it to size to fit tightly inside the connecting rod and even made interlocking teeth on the ends with a sheet metal punch and file. I had to trim it close to the right width before curling it. Then, after I forced it into the rod, I evened up the edges with a flat file. There were a few other things I had to do, like drilling an oil hole and such, but it turned out pretty good for a hand made part. And the best thing is that it worked, and still does a year later, thank God! If the engine ever explodes, I have another one sitting here that a friend gave me, but it's a little bit smaller.
If it was possible to rebuild human joints, these guys would take the cake. My only problem is, that safety IS NOT a priority. Customer satisfaction takes precedent. They need to wear and utilize safety gear when using those lathes etc.
And I just say hey Siri call Autolec. 3 secs later. Andrew can you send me ball joint for and I give the reg. Less than hour later new balljoint delivered in plastic bag.

You just know this is exactly the shit your paying for at parts store and getting. I'll buy new for now on. I am impressed with how good their manual skills are with the lathe and the welding with probably some home made rods from some other shop but still, it might as well be nibbled by a rat. I mean even worse is realize this is the top quality of them knowing they are being video recorded, image the rest of the time.
To make a curve on a lathe you must use two dials at once not really easy but with a little practice.... Also I'm not so sure how long that plastic is going to last.
Парень увидел в Ютюбе, как серьезные дядьки восстанавливают шаровые опоры и решил себе повторить. Это больше похоже на урок труда в школе, чем на реальное восстановление. Возможно, со временем, он и наберётся опыта.
