As a jewellery maker I struggle using this system to cut small enough pieces. What is the smallest you can cut and do you please have a video showing that? Thanks!
how much pound the big part of the cutter are that give you a minimum of pressure on glass probaly also bifore I thing the cutter are on bering but it look like you have to turn it for curve is it exact jack 47 71
The handle weighs about half a pound requiring you to only apply a small amount of pressure when cutting. The cutting handle is able to rotate 360 degrees so you can cut and shape you need! If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Brilliant!! I purchased this from Delphi years ago and haven’t had full use of it as yet, but I’m sure it will help with scoring of small shapes which I use a lot. Thanks for the demo.
Great video. I found it so much easier to set up and use the Beetle Bits with this tutorial. The instructions that come with the system can be confusing!
Just purchased the Beetle Bits system and noticed that the cutter device is spring loaded. In watching your video, it does not appear your cutter is spring loaded. When I slide my cutter down towards the ruler, it’s not stable. What am I missing? Thanks for your help
At 4:13 in the video, you can see the Flying Beetle is spring-loaded. You can make adjustments to the set screw using the provided Allen wrench. Make sure that you have a firm grip on the beetle body while pressing down on the button. (Just like holding a mouse for a computer) If this doesn't help you can always give us a call so we can explain it more in depth.
To get an exactly 3” equilateral triangle you would have to cut a 2.58” strip, so I would align the glass to the 2.5 mark and then go about one tick above it.
Hello, any tips on cutting front surface mirrors? Specifically snapping. I am not sure if I am not scoring it correctly or what but when AI go to snap, the whole mirror cracks. I am cutting strips ~10" long and 1.25" wide. Thx
Watching this video is like watching my son. Explain an iPhone to his grandparents. Well done I’m very impressed with the system and your ability to explain it.
Im getting this in every size. No matter how long ive been doing this, getting the evenness on both sides is impossible for me. My grandmother never had a problem. I refuse to tuen out sloppy looking work so i insist on petfect lines. This could be extremely helpful. And it doesnt take up an entire tabletop. Love that. Thanks! (Great explanation!❤)
We have a deluxe kit that includes 3 Hand Foilers (3/16", 7/32", 1/4") + Creator's Crimper/Burnisher. We also have the hand foilers in 10+ colors. So you can notate on your order what color/size you would like (mix and match). Thank you for the wonderful comment, and we look forward to helping your foiling needs.
Thank you for being very specific in your description, for example, providing the reason to let the foil "bunch up" while feeding it (easier to pull out of the channel) so that it all makes sense. It's not a complicated device to load and use but your video and plain, clear description is super useful for someone who hasn't used it before, or that has and perhaps had trouble with it. Thanks!
Could you please do a demo on the Bumblebee & Hummingbird cutters? I saw a pink and yellow cutter on your bench. It looks like the pink one was longer. I would love to see these in action. Thank you, Therese 😊
I just bought one of your hand foilers. After lots of practice and still struggling to get the foil to go on evenly with the glastar table top foiler, I was a bit skeptical. But all my initial test pieces came out near perfect the first time with your foiler. I'm really happy with it! Thank you!
@@creatorsbrand Great news but i already ordered one by friend living in US 😉-However,i will notice friends from waterglass course, that an easiest way for ordering is available now .Thanks
