These private schools don't necessarily develop their own talent. County Development Pathways end up highlighting U13,14s Club players who then get offered Sports scholarships and then they're lost to the Community Clubs that developed them from minis. What get's missed are late developers such Alex Dombrandt, who don't physically develop until U18/U20s, and by luck end up playing at University. Itoja was a basketball player until he got picked up by Herts RFU "Try rugby" session
Props are pants I'm afraid and will be seriously undone by stronger players. I appreciate that they are still young, but I don't see anyone on the horizon who is going to trouble a Boks front row, or for that matter, any other home nation's scrum. You need another Julian White, or Andrew Sheridan, or even a Val Rupava-Ruskin. Genuine hard men.
Ben Earl, Jack Willis, and Tom Curry will all be in their prime. I think Tommy Freeman will be moved to outside centre and don't forget Radwan and Lawrence. Tight head prop worries me. If Heye and Stuart are our best options, then we're gonna be in trouble.
My England team for the 2027 World Cup- 1. Ellis Genge 2. Sam Riley 3. Will Stuart 4. Maro Itoje 5. Ollie Chessum 6. Tom Pearson 7. Jack Willis 8. Chandler Cunningham-South 9. Alex Mitchell 10. Marcus Smith 11. Henry Arundell 12. Dan Kelly 13. Ollie Lawrence 14. Cadan Murley 15. Freddie Steward 16. Jamie Blamire 17. Bevan Rodd 18. Joe Heyes 19. Hugh Tizard 20. Tom Curry 21. Raffi Quirke 22. Charlie Atkinson 23. Tommy Freeman
That looks like a solid pick to me! I'd personally have Martin in over Chessum, as much as I like the latter. Earl surely has to be in the mix somewhere, along with Roots if he keeps playing as he is. Looking at the current setup I'd go: 1: Genge 2: Dan 3: Stuart 4: Itoje 5: Martin 6: Roots 7: Willis 8: Earl 9: Mitchell 10: Fin Smith 11: Arundell 12: Hartley 13: Lawrence 14: Muir 15: Steward 16: Riley 17: Rodd 18: Heyes 19: Chessum 20: Tom Curry 21: Cunningham-South 22: Randall 23: Freeman
Will stuart is massively over rated and doesn't offer anything in the scrum joe hayes is miles better in the scrum. He hasn't got to 100+ games for tigersof he wasn't good at all and is getting better and better
Wellington above Harrow. They were beaten by Harrow at home. They have lost 2 and only won the plate! Sedbergh number 3? They went to Blackrock and won. I dont think you guys have really thought this through.
I like the back line, I like the 8, the rest of the forwards for me though are pretty poor tbh I feel it’s been a case of trying to be too clever. Also I just don’t rate Bevan rodd at all I’m gonna throw that out there from the start. Curry will be 29 Itoje 31 Genge 32 Willis 29 Dombrant 29 Also it would not surprise me at all to see Farrell still in there at 35 as the most capped England player of all time. My forward pack for the 2027 with everything being as is would be 8 Mercer 7 curry 6 pollock 5 tizzard 4 itoje 3 Stuart 2 barbery (just my opinion of what I would do to get the best team out there) 1 genge (c) 16 Riley 17 Shickerling 18 Hayes 19 hill 20 dombrant
Will Joseph needs to develop much more physically before he’ll be getting any starts, Dan Kelly would be a much better option at 12 if he can stay fit. Dombrandt should take 8 and will take 8, Itoje and Hill will start in the row with Tizard to come on, Chessum lacks physicality.
like this concept so came up with wales 23 1. Rhys Carre 2. Dewi Lake 3. Leon Brown 4. Dafydd Jenkins 5. Adam Beard 6. Christ Tsuinza 7. Tommy Reffell 8. Josh Macleod 9. Kieran Hardy 10. Sam Costelow 11. Ioan Lloyd 12. Aneurin Owen 13. Mason Grady 14. Louis Rees Zammit 15. Ben Thomas 16. Efan Daniel 17. Sam O’Connor 18. Dillon Lewis 19. Shane Lewis Hughes 20. James Botham 21. Dane Blacker 22. Joe Hawkins 23. Owen Watkin
Sam Spink is much better than Litchfield as a power center option. Dan Kelly should be out 12 going forward, Leicester don't look the same without him. Atkinson is better than Smith as sub 10. Chandler Cunningham South is the future at 8/6, total player.
Murley so true tho should’ve been in the England autumn squad last year but glad to see him play test rugby in November and hopes he brings his Quinn’s form to Twickenham stadium this November!!
