Bought a couple of these off eBay for use between vehicles on a trip. Expected them to talk to each other without issue. They seem to be programed still and won't even communicate with each other on the same channel even though they show the same name. Where do I find how to default these and make them communicate with each other?
the screenless version of this model.. can it still be accessed via smart phone? can the mics be activated remotely? what is the accuracy of the gps? as well..what types of data are being stored during use? thanks 😁
Thanks for the video. I am looking at this radio as my all-in-one radio for amateur DMR, Analog and to control my AllStar Node since it does DTMF from the keypad, I am told. Now I need to find a US dealer. Thumbs up!
Still don't know why one signal dmr on one freq just one location so far single freq dmr simplex, will decode audio on ubc3600 which is eu version of 436,but won't on sds100, even with same dmr settings it just stays as dmr noise full signal, but on the eu bc436 will be clear audio
hi, quick question, i have the same radio and when pressing buttons i dont get that beep, or tone, when pressing the buttons the radio is silent, how do i enable that on cps 2.0? what is that option called?
People, enough with all these BS videos here on RU-vid as to which scanner is better. Both these scanners have the same capabilities and the only dam reason one might be better than the other are the different power options both these scanners have. If you don't mind running out of juice on your lithium battery powered portable scanner when you are out in the middle of nowhere and can't find any place to charge it...then get the overhyped Uniden SDS100. If you want to have the ability to power your portable scanner in just about any condition with cheap AA batteries which you can buy by the dozens, then go with the Uniden BCD436HP without a doubt. I have the 436 and would never opt for the SDS100 for the simple fact that you can't use AA batteries on it. Enough said!
That’s a great question I would rank this in the number 1 or number 2 spot as the R7 is one the most advanced radios on the market right now. The R7 is going to be an everyday use radio. I still do need to purchase a carrying case.
Great video! I use these at work but, we're always short on radios... Is there a way to get a Baofeng UV-5R to communicate with them? I have a couple Baofengs and would really prefer to use my own radio, than worry about breaking my employers! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Stupid question, is this particular radio capable of Dual frequency (both UHF and VHF) like the cheap Baofengs? I am looking for a quality radio that does both to replace the Baofeng
