Need to replace an defective Quattro 2 color how to remove old screws if stripped?
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting 11 дней назад
Your best option is to drill the old screws out with a bit smaller than the diameter of the screw. As the screws are made of bronze a standard screw stripping tool may not work effectively. On replacing the lights remember not to use power tools with the bronze screws. Use a hand screwdriver to fasten.

Do they need to be mounted below water line to keep cool? or can they be mounted out of water?
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting Месяц назад
They are designed to be used as an underwater light where the water regulates the temperature. They can operate above the water line but reduce power and output when they get too hot as a safety feature. We have other above-water products available at lumiteclighting.com

What is the difference between spot and flood light?
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting Месяц назад
The Spotlight has a narrower beam pattern and will project further than the flood option. The spot is ideal for a forward-facing light to detect markers and obstacles in your path. The flood has a much wider bean pattern with less range. It is perfect for an aft-facing light to illuminate the deck and area around the transom of the boat.

will it break if you force the light down as a result of hitting a dock roof or something rigid?
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting 3 месяца назад
If the impact is sudden and hard it may pop the release allowing the light to fold but if the movement is slow and progressive such as backing slowly against a garage overhang then it will most likely snap the shaft.

What is the recommended drill bit size for the 3 mounting screws?
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting 4 месяца назад
The size of the drill bit will depend on the thickness and density of the material you are drilling into. The typical range for fiberglass will be from 5/32 to 3/16. Do not fasten the bronze screws with a power driver but rather use a hand screwdriver. There is a sizing guide supplied in the instructions with the light.

I can control connect any universal RGBW light that has the RGB wires and control them without limitations correct?
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting 7 месяцев назад
I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Simple answer NO. Poco is designed for a 2-wire system and uses a single-wire connection to the module to command the lights. You need to use Lumitec PLI-enabled lights to get the full functionality from the Lumitec Poco module. Third-party RGB or RGBW lights use a multiple-wire connection and are not compatible with the Poco system.

So without exposed fasteners, how can you remove it?
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting Год назад
It is just held in with spring loaded buterfly clips fastners and possibly a bead of sealant (optional). Break the bead of sealant , if used, and wedge a flat edge behind the lip of the light and as you pull forward the clip tension will compress and the light can be easily pulled out of the mount hole.

@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting Год назад
Apologies! Under the "All Products" menu for all product categories, you can filter by PLI products. Also, in the specs of any product you may be interested in, it will state if it is PLI compatible. We are currently working on improving our website to make it easier to search for PLI (Poco Compatible) products. Thank you for your feedback.

I just bought 9 of these. Very Disappointed that I have to do this whole process every single time I turn on these 400 dollar lights. If there is a way to lock on a single color every single time it should be mentioned in the packaging. The comment below suggest there is a way but is written so poorly that it still leaves many questions. "No it is a manual process. However if you connect any compatible RGBW light to our Poco digital lighting control module you can pre-program the light to come on it any color or intensity you wish."
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting Год назад
Hi Anthony, sorry for any frustration this has caused. There is a way to reprogram the factory default setting to allow the light to come on in a set color or remember the last color selected. It is too much information to list here in the answer section but if you reach out to our customer support they can provide documentation to walk you through the process. Alternativly you can purchase a Poco module which will allow you to program your lights and control the color via a compatible display or through your smartphone using the app (not compatible with Quattro lights). Please reach out to our tech support for more assistance. www.lumiteclighting.com/contact/technical-support.html

I have 4 on my Yatch I use it as my main lighting control through out the entire vessel and have lots of lights hence the need for 4 of them, currently we are using iPads in different areas just selecting the poco device on wifi of the area needed, is there any way to connect them so they all show on one controller in one interface to control all units or is this not possible ? I really don't want to switch to something else but its incredibly frustrating if there is more of a demand for individual channels than one unit can provide having to switch between units in settings each time I want to control a different area.
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting Год назад
Ideally, you only want to use one Poco module on your vessel and spread the lighting load across all channels. Lumitec lighting with our PLI technology can be on the same channel yet receive separate commands from the Poco module, thus behaving differently, allowing them to share the same physical circuit.
@brynnagminalis7477
@brynnagminalis7477 Год назад
@@LumitecLighting So basically no, if someone wanted to use your great product with that one drawback they would have no way of setting it up on lets say a mega Yatch that wanted to use your product because they would be limited by the easy to integrate through software function, of linking command actions to be sent across multiple IP's on the network.

Can you mix the the spectrum lights by having a lower lumen full spectrum and a higher lumen on the same circuit and control them together ?
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting Год назад
Yes you can! As long as both lights are spectrum (quattro and X2 for example) you can place them on the same circuit and control them via our TTP technology (toggles of the power switch). Our spectrum lights share the same color cycle and will change color in sequence, however the Quattro is not a PLI light meaning it is not compatible with our Poco lighting control system and this setup will not work if you plan on installing a Poco module. TTP only.
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting Год назад
If you intend to use lights that include PLI technology (Typhoon, X2 and Javelin) then you can use a Poco system. However at that point there may be alternative ways to wire and control the lights. You can check with our tech support line for more advanced methods.

Lumitec Javelin 600X LED Underwater Light is this complete with a device to change collars? Also when are you going to have a install video on what it costs to install one of these are they the most Lumens? or is there stronger more Powerful units ?
@LumitecLighting
@LumitecLighting 2 года назад
The Javelin underwater light contains our TTP technology built-in which allows for color selection without the need for an external controller by simple off/on toggles of the power switch (see TTP operation link below). For more advanced color control you can add our Poco module, but not required. TTP Video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-06DoB2UfLts.html The Javelin and SeaaBlazeX2 our our highest lumen surface mount lights at 6000 lumens each. We also offer a through-hull SeaBlaze Typhhoon underwater light at 10,000 lumens for larger non-trailer boats. Installation video will be coming soon.

My favourite lights! I’m converting a Ram Promaster into a campervan and I’ll be using nothing but Lumitec lighting throughout the van. That will include ceiling pot lights, perimeter lights, courtesy and step lights. I love the quality built and lumen output of these lights. The light is evenly distributed and above all many models are available in dual or WRGB colours and many are dimmable that tops it up for me on being the best lights on the market.

Pulling off the railing chip the column and I've repaired that with Bondo but don't want further damage.
