Southern Style Lawn Care. Thank you guys for watching my channel. This is a Lawn and Landscape based channel. I enjoying making videos to help others out and to give my opinion on lawn care and equipment. If you guys have any questions or request for certain types of videos let me know. I also
@@SouthernStyleLawnCare OK. I thought in the video it may be in the way. Anyhow, thanks for the video. I'm putting one on in the morning . You saved me a bunch of time
Great video. Thanks much. My wife bought a set of these for me back in 2014. I looked at the printed instructions with no pictures, figured it was just too time consuming to mess with. Bought a new trailer and decided to see if RU-vid had better instructions than the printed ones. Easy pezy to follow your lead, put them on in about 45 minutes. Thanks a ton.
Im not a pro, But just my own stuff n been doing it for a few years. It surprises me to see pro lawn crew guys use the two piece method. [yup it takes longer - inefficient] but that works fine for them, I learned to not try to teach them as Im not a pro. My thought was Im doing it wrong - lol but it works for me. pull out a couple arms lengths [ im around 6'6" - so got arms like an ape] ;) yup im kinda odd then I do like you - the ends go in the spool, wrap - then a loop left over to get cut with a knife or (?) yeah its a good way to wrap a spool. ez to store extras for back up as Im amazed at how many folks wait till im there to do this for them.
My absolute favorite line and I have tried all the popular brands. i also buy the 1100 ft roll and it starts drying out when it does soak in water let it rehydrate and its like new again.
Did you have any problems disconnecting the switch? Did you have to pry it off with a flat tip screwdriver 🪛 or anything? Having a problem disconnecting my switch from my DR Power XL30, it’s the exact same switch you got except different color.
@@SouthernStyleLawnCare believe me I have tried pulling it off. It’s like stuck. Afraid I might cause more damage or something. I have to try & pry it off.
Thank you for the video. Very good idea. The main reason I watched the video though, was to see which way that darn spring went in. I've had this for maybe....12 years, but got a new trimmer head and at the same time it ran out of fuel, for some reason the string broke on both ends and there was no way to get it out unless the head was taken apart. I didn't realize I had it in wrong and it flew apart ...sooooo....off to RU-vid I went. Thank you again! By doing this, I won't even have to get a new one for awhile.
That PTO switch is exactly like my DR POWER XL30, except the color and it’s just the one push for blade spin on & off. Can you please 🙏 send me a video or do a video of disconnecting the switch from the cable ?. I have tried twice, pressed those side panel buttons and can’t get it disconnected, I want to try harder but I am afraid of causing some sort of damage. Unless I have to be more forceful , please let me know. I ordered another switch on Amazon. Now the other day I pulled the switch up and sprayed WD40 around the bottom hoping to lubricate it and maybe make it work but nothing really happened, just the button got a little easier to push & pull.
You deserve a medal and I want to say thanks! My z3x was working fine all day until we got to the last set of lawns and the blades wouldn't engage. Swapped out an extra switch I had on a working mower and still no beuno. Fuse was good. That's when I found your video where you showed me where to look for the clutch wiring. One of the two wires going into the connector was pulled out by a stick or utility flag. Without your help I would be without my precious Z for up to 6 weeks per the shops around here.
We still run and use out daily. We don't expect them to be mulch kits. I also have ran advanced, grass flap, and quickxhute and non will stay fully closed with the 37hp motors.
Man now can you put a TYM474 with the backhoe attachment on it in that trailer an see how she fits an handles.... have you happen to haul any equipment or tractor
Well if your employees keep forgetting to lock the racks they must not want their job very well they wouldn't be working for me anymore I would get employees that are conscientious about that kind of stuff
That just added more cut weeds n debris hitting ankles n shins. Wear face shield screen for face n neck protection. 🤷🏽♂️ Different Strokes For Different Folks🤷🏽♂️
Thank you very much that's greatly appreciated. There's no faster way for someone like stihl to lose business permanently like mine create additional difficulty for me to manager maintain my own equipment. Ridiculous like carburetor adjustment is proprietary or something.
I would imagine that these put virtually zero stress on a mowers suspension system versus that of strapping the body/frame of the mower down. People are finding that a lot of their Ferris machines need the suspension springs replaced over time. I bet trailering with them puts a lot of wear and tear on them. A trade off is this may place some wear and tear on the tires or axles but I bet it is negligible.
That's only as strong as the strength of the wood secured to the trailer....it only means if u crash...the wood comes with the mower as it flips out of the trailer onto your truck..
I appreciate the vid. However, I'm not sure how you removed the throttle linkage. You obviously have done it many times but with your hand hiding the process, I am lost. can you get another camera angle on it. It would help me a lot. Thanks!
I thought they go on both sides of trailer? For $170 should be 2 sets, im thinkin anywayz..springs are like $30 for 2 at home depot, can make it cheaper i would think
NOTE: You MUST use a 1/2" bit to drill the holes for the side rails. 3/8" bit drill holes are not sufficient to allow the square end of the bolt(s) to be completely recessed.
I was having the same issue with the wheel digging on turns. I adjusted to the top holes now I’m scalping more than usual. Did you have this same issue? Cutting mostly at 2.5” - 2.75”.
