I changed the two caps and still the same problem. Only very weak sound from the mp3 input socket. Any other ideas? When I see the soldering and weak wires, I can only think of resoldering the whole thing with higher quality wires.

I think I've found the issue. After opening and quick checking I came to realize the problem is in the two black - cylindrical elec. capacitors (470u F 10v and 33 u F 16v) next to the input-output jacks. Since I'm not an expert I got bit risky and several times joining the two terminals with a 3rd metallic object, it got mini-sparks, noise and then started to work nicely, but the loud volume apparently brings back the issue, definitely I must change the capacitors, they seem to be burned inside
Mine too. The only way you can get a very low sound is from the MP3 input socket (and just sometimes). Have 4-5 months with this problem, any solution?
I second this, have the exact same problem, sound not coming from anywhere except the MP3 input jack (still very low output). Would love to see a diagram.
Same problem with mine, I took it apart, found nothing broken, Weird thing is using earphones, you can hear it (very low)I working through the MP3 input socket. but nothing through the earphone socket or speaker. I tried grounding the brown wire as Stefan said without success. It seems to be an output problem. Any solution/ideas?
I fixed it!!!! Just measured around, and still had a signal on the Volume PCB. For testing I just soldered a Jack to the middle solderpoint of that Board (on mine it was a brown cable wich was connected to the mainboard) and ground to ground, AND IT WORKED even with volume controlling!!!!
Mine goes crazy when I use the beatbox samples, after that I can only hear the bass sounds. The drum sounds are silent and the beatbox samples don't work, although some of them produce glitches.
#ifihadglass I would empower people who want to live a healthy lifestyle. I am working on an early prototype of this application as part of my senior thesis at Santa Clara University, and as a Glass Explorer I would make this app a reality.
I'm still waiting for that functionality on smartphones, so far there is none :-( I guess the problem isn't the device, but rather building the database...
