This is not about a Democrat or Republican. Trump will not care about either party, he will use who yields to him. Trump is looking for all parties to bow to him. This is humiliating to all people. That’s not freedom of will as God almighty granted humans. Project 2025 is Trump’s intentions. Wake up people. Republicans will be under Bondage as well.
This may not be a fashionable opinion but I think this ruling also implies the immunity the justices feel they warrant over their ethics rules. They and they alone can make the rules and now with this immunity ruling we will be forever at the mercy of their interpretations over every incident that tries to bring an executive action under scrutiny. They are the true kings and queens. Without any input from the other branches they can write and rewrite rules whenever they want. Grid yourself for endless legal wrangling and just more stress for the average Americans who just want to live their lives with safety, privacy and freedom.
Missus here: Chevron Deference decision... "Expertise doesn't matter and the experts know nothing" when the court decides it is fine to hold an airplane engine on with 2 bolts instead of the 5 previously deemed necessary??!! Think about it... (thank you Joyce Vance for that point).
"Arrogance" is a generous euphemism ... this is "judicial chaos" on steroids. This Roberts banana Republican majority not only proves "they don't care" every session ... they brazenly demonstrate an insatiable and malicious - sadistic - appetite for inflicting pain & suffering on the mainstream American public. This is a hostile takeover of our democracy in process ... we must stop them starting with our VOTE!
This is just the beginning, too, as the Dems just give lip service to expanding the court. If the Dems would go with someone not Biden, and promise to expand the court during the next few months, they will win.
Quite a popular gag on media from then to now, like television and movies, where nobody like anchovies on pizza, with second place is nobody like pineapples on pizza.
"The Court has taken significant, simultaneous steps to restrict the power of Congress, the administrative state, the states, and the lower federal courts. And it has done so using a variety of (often contradictory) interpretative methodologies. The common denominator across multiple opinions in the last two years is that they concentrate power in one place: the Supreme Court."Mark Lemley. Harvard article the Imperial SCOTUS
LOL but only white babies ,,,,,what a creep he is. Our government needs to put an end to the billionaires being able to buy them. He buys judges and senators and representatives and he is a fascist and should pay 90% taxes
And another thing: if a pregnant woman dies as a result of bleeding out when she seeks reproductive care thanks to this stupid EMTALA ruling, can her husband or family sue the Court for practicing medicine without a license since the Court was the one to come up with the ruling?
Good morning from the UK, gentlemen. Question: do you think that the SCROTUS did this power grab ahead of 45 (heaven forbid) getting put back in office because as an absolute president/monarch, even they anticipate 45 trying to do away with the Supreme Court?? Will this in any way save them from being tossed out like the week's garbage? And can 45 selectively remove any justice that he doesn't like (such as the 3 liberals)? Thanks for your efforts to save democracy!!
And now we have AI… File Store click Your file is waiting.. Well 20 years ago when my kid was straddling the dimensions of life and death.. her father was cruising.. that’s the word I use .. started with him always needing “space”. He was always out driving around.. to clear his mind. I believed him.. Now I wonder .. I was totally shocked that our employee threw him under the bus when I caught them playing this app. his screen name was big Andy .. I wouldn’t be caught dead on one of these apps. lol Then again I don’t need to as I have people skills. And then again I don’t want to. I’m still healing from 30 years of hell lol The drama ain’t worth it ..
The only reason this had to be asked was because it’s the first time the line was crossed and you trued to convict a president. You are making to much of this pushing your left leaning propaganda by fear mongoring. Didn’t Obama kill American citizens in a drone strike? Why are you continuing to hate on a man who is going to get probably more votes than Biden did last election. Are live were much better under Trump and the world was a lot more peaceful. I’ve heard enough.
Funny, they don't mention that Biden has the same immunity and that he can face charges of the deaths of 15 services men if he didn't That Obama can face charges of gun running that killed border agents. Bill Clinton can face charges for decisions he made that caused the war in Ukraine. But it seems Bill and Obama always had immunity.
This is a self inflicted wound. Four years ago, there were people trying to warn you. Why does this go unmentioned? If you three were going your jobs, this would have been discussed years ago. There are no surprises here, so stop acting like its news. NEWSFLASH: Guy in his 80s acts like guy in his 80s. And John you lived through Reagan, so you have zero excuses. Same goes with SCOTUS. Everything they do, you act surprised.
4 years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court in its unanimous McDonnell decision confirmed that not all actions taken by public officials are "official acts" for purposes of the federal bribery laws. Official action, the court held, is limited to a "decision or action" on a "question, matter, cause, suit, proceeding or controversy," and must "involve a formal exercise of governmental power that is similar in nature to a lawsuit before a court, a determination before an agency, or a hearing before a committee." To qualify, the alleged official action "must also be something specific and focused that is 'pending' or 'may by law be brought' before a public official." In vacating former Virginia Gov. Robert McDonnell's convictions, the court held that "[s]etting up a meeting, talking to another official, or organizing an event (or agreeing to do so) - without more - does not fit that definition of 'official act[ion].'
Nothing changed in that because there are 3 separate buckets. The problem is that they, for some reason, have claimed that as long as they are using political power granted by the Constitution, that it is immune. This is brand new. In fact, they didn't bother to test versus oath on actions. Things that are definitely illegal using the power are now non-prosecutable. Why did we put an oath in if we do not enforce it? We, also, realized that oaths needed to be given for lower members of the executive as well as the legislature. Apparently, adding them after the Civil War does absolutely nothing because the oaths mean nothing according to the Supreme Court. What's worse is that if we look at the limits on the rights of prosecution, we take things like this into account in moving the case from state to federal court. Just taking the opinion as evidence, this might also be what the Supreme Court Justices actually think about their own oaths of office. My question is, "Does a lower judge need to enforce an unlawful opinion since the Justices have made subordinates the test on whether an oath of office is being upheld?" I know if I am them, I'm going to claim the same immunity for their office. These would all be official acts for them as Justices.
TBH they all lip sync at concerts or live performances. What they do is they pre-record the vocals and what we see is their performance. This is why we hear it sound live
This woman is disgusting. the situations women are experiencing are HORRIFYING! Also when she said “all women deserve ongoing care by a physician” AMERICANS ARE BROKE and many/most CANNOT AFFORD THIS, so Dr. Francis wants to stick these broke women with pregnancy and childbirth bills, then parenthood at $300K/head.
