@@cadegood716 it’s a crap shoot on timing the water levels. When water rises you fight weeds and the fish tend to stack and stay in back eddy and hold until a slowdown in flow. Spinners with cured coon strip shrimp gets it done
Thank You! That monster fought like a salmon moving around the boat. I was convinced it was one by it behavior, but in back of my mind was like “why would a salmon be at 63ft in the river?” 😂 Thanks for watching and commenting. Tight lines!
@@kwikrench he fought HARD!! It’s all good, wishful thinking on the salmon 😂 still a great catch but maybe next time. Happy fishing, can’t wait to see more!!!! 🎣💪🏽💛
Egg sinker off bottom 3’ leader. One day 4’ leader. That’s where the Garmin castable come in handy. Knowing where to cast and what leader length. Thanks for commenting.
Definitely a time saver if you’re wanting to get on the fish. From the bank. Using it on Lake Roosevelt and turning the settings up so you can see if zooplankton is in the water in the area your at can help alleviate spending time in dead zones. Thanks for commenting.
Depends what time of year and whether in a boat. Bank fishing winter is a good time as the Triploid trout move closer to shore. Kokanee can be trolled for pretty much most of year, same for trout. You just gotta learn migration patterns during the year as water temps rise and fall. Thanks for commenting
For what it is and the price it’s pretty good. Slight learning curve but it lets ya know structure and whether or not fish are present and that’s what it’s all about
Unfortunately as a marine mechanic myself, there's a few things that you didn't do properly. 1) you didn't replace the woodruff key, why not? Did you re-use the o-rings? Including the one on the impeller housing? It's actually ok to use a bit more grease in the impeller cup. It doesn't hurt anything. I don't understand why you put grease on the o-ring for the impeller housing? Unnecessary.
Dry land cruising with only 23 hours on new outboard. It was out of the water for 30 sec, didn’t get hot so ordered only the impeller and housing kit, the grease was tacky enough to hold the o’ring seal in place for Assembly. So didn’t need the whole 100 hr parts. I went to flush engine in freshwater and noticed the tell tale took forever and just dribbled, coolant pressure was 1/2 the original especially at idle. Now the tell tale is instant after startup and good stream coming out, I’ve put another 38 hrs on since then. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Wow, what a perfect video. Thanks for this! In a day and age where everyone ruins videos with useless rants and nonsense, someone's still doing it proper!
This was a 4 day trip of 10 of us. We all caught fish every day except one day, that day I noticed the water level rose quite a bit and noticed on the castable sonar the zooplankton and krill were not there like the previous 2 days. It’s interesting how the food sources move with ebb and flow of dam release and build up. Best of wishes, tight lines. Thanks for commenting.
Wow!!!!! awesome catches guys. Super cool! Looks like a LOT OF WORK tho, whew 😂 thinking about trying sturgeon fishing soon but uh, I may only be able to bring one of those bad boys in 😄 Happy new year!!! What a way to bring in the NY. Did you catch any keepers ??
We all decided to call quits and my one friend was in middle of rebaiting and said He was gonna drop one last time and nailed the keeper on the drop. That section of river allows the biggest spread for keeper 38-54 inch and this one was 39 inch. Lots of upper body workout for sure. Thanks for commenting, Happy New Year and tight lines to you and yours.
@@kwikrench that’s awesome!!!!! Good for you all. Looked like you had a great time - lots of workout but so worth it. Which river were you catching these on?
Great video and scenic clips. Thanks for sharing. How many did you guys catch and did you guy launch from the Meyer state park of the Dalles Marina? I was hoping to be there yesterday
We limited on Adults and caught one Jack as a bonus along with a few fire engines we returned to finish their duties of procreating. Thanks for commenting and tight lines to ya.
This is a 15ft Fish-Rite my brother-in-laws. The one you see used in Puget Sound and the Strait is a Hewescraft Pro-V. Thanks for commenting. Happy trails and tight lines!
Hello are you there? I have an Olympus Tough Stylus tg-4, ref the yongnuo yn560-iii, does it have the optical transmitter built into the flash? Also, I note the flash unit has the head to place on the camera. TG-4 does not have the connecting part and so I must place the flash unit on a stand. What stand do you recommend? Also on the tg-4 I go setting then to accessory setting and last remote flash. If I turn on my remote flash will my camera communicate with the yongnuo flash? Please reply.
The Yongnuo was on optical slave, so I used the in camera flash to trigger the yongnuo. I would use a light meter and adjust flash power to match the camera setting, flagged the on camera flash so only light could reach optical slave, so not to interfere with the ambient and off camera flash . I love fishing videos, but not the music. I love the sounds of the water, drag, splashing etc. I’ll check out the rest of your videos and maybe subscribe
You could sorta say that. Mainly the engine so quiet forgot it was running when pulling out of water it ran 30-40 sec out of water, noticed next time on the water the coolant pressure dropped from 16 to 10 and the pee stream just spitting at idle. Temp didn’t get hot but changed impeller and restored pressure. Dry land cruising is no joke. It happens fast. Thanks for commenting
