I've seen the show 3 times so had 3 separate experiences. 1st experience Sept 2021 performance flawless, to be honest all three times the performance was flawless. Anyway 1st time people knew how to behave and was genuinely adults and very respectful etc and knew the right times to clap and stand up at then end. 2nd time however I know kids are kids but there was one little girl before the performance in the loos screaming and crying her lungs out obviously in distress, to my shock her mum had just left her due to her crying. I'm not blaming the kid, I'm blaming the mum as she should know how her child acts and of she is gonna be stressed or cry etc then maybe best not to of brought her along. 3rd time again not really anything to complain about, cute girl next to me singing really low but that was fine as she was a kid and was not really affecting the performance. At the end through I did think people where a little rude as other 2 performances ive seen people clapped and stood up to show appreciation and standing ovations have always been a thing. I got up and my mum and sister did only to be looked at like we had 2 heads but looked up (as we where in the stalls) and the rest of the theatre where standing and clapping. So yeah I do feel as though theatre behaviour has gone done.
Such an incredible show. Whenever I’m down or upset about anything, I go and see the woman in black and it reminds me about how theatre isn’t all about props lighting set ect, but it can be created through the most simplistic things. That’s why this play is phenomenal.
Ugh. I don't have over eating problems. I could eat once a day and be fine. Counting calories and macros made me feel sick and stuffed all day and i was in a deficit.... and haven't been able to lose a single lb in 4 years.
I've been to see Frozen in London twice. The first time was about 8 months ago and it was amazing. There were children in the audience but they were very well behaved. However the second time i saw it, a few months ago was completely different. Despite the booking page saying children under 4 would not be admitted, there were babies on laps and toddlers with dummies and one baby near me screamed throughout the whole first half, and some other children were singing and rustling sweet wrappers the whole time. We complained to an usher and got moved to different seats for the second half which weren't surround by noisy children. The other thing I didn't like that was different in the second show was the lack of continuity. Don't take this as a racist comment, it's not, but in this production, when the princesses were children, Elsa was black and Anna was white. Fine. Haven't got a problem with that and they were both incredible actresses and singers with great futures in musical theatre. BUT when they grew up, Elsa was white and Anna was black, and it took me a while to get my head round who was who., Kept thinking 'I thought she was one with the magic powers' because I expected the black child to become a black adult and the white child to become a white adult. Call me old fashioned, but that was confusing and wron
It’s crazy how we have the exact same symptoms as someone with Addison’s. Thankfully we don’t have to experience the Addison’s crisis 😳 Sometimes I wonder if we really have adrenal damage but not to the extent someone with Addison’s. Ugh I feel your pain!
It’s always uncertain if there’s going to be applause after ‘let your soul take you where you want to be’. There isn’t here but I find it weird. It doesn’t sound like the end of a song.
Only song in Dear Evan Hansen that really make a difference to see live (and tbh one of the few parts of the film I loved) is You Will Be Found. The use of the simple stage design to showcase screens with visuals of the social media support for Evan made me very emotional. I think it was just the company that made the rest of the show enjoyable 😘😘
I agree with the Lion king... for me the second act drags, and I feel the production can be impoved (projection mapping etc). For the price of tickets, it feels like a rip off.
I went today and people were still booing Hans. Which was unpleasant but yet predictable as a large proportion of the audience were children. But it really annoyed me when the father sitting in front of me was effectively leading the booing of his family. As he was not only vocal but also gestured a thumbs down towards Hans whilst looking at his family as if signaling them to do the same.
We went today and we all thought it was terrific. We did not get the VIP however even the queue was fun. I just would have preferred another immersive event following the 3d experience.
I think it should have been the cast that left September 4th with Ben as JD. His meant to be yours was scary, the chemistry between him and Alisa (Veronica) was really good. Every time I watched that cast the energy was really high and the accents improved along with the vocals. I also agree with the angles, I wasn’t a big fan of the angles in dead girl walking and the random close ups
I totally agree with your opinions on the casting. I think the actor that played Veronica did a fine job for the most part, aside from a few of her acting decisions (particularly the way she delivered the "I was having my period" joke) but JD just did not do it for me at all.
Thank you for these tips. J have schizofrenia and I put a lot of weight being in mental health hospital. I never here about loosing weight with chronic illness
i saw heathers live with this cast and jd was amazing on stage but in the proshot he wasn’t as great. he’s much better live. i agree with what you said about the camera angles with the audience
Would someone please explain the weight for me, I mean this completely respectfully, I’m from the US so we go on a different measurement systems. I’d just like to know so I can understand how much weight is being talked about. I have fibromyalgia and I’m just trying to find different things that can help
Hi, one of the major factors with fibromyalgia is that it significantly slows down your metabolism, also poor sleep can make you gain weight. This lady seems to be eating a lot of processed food which is also really bad for fibro. I have a really clean diet, as much organic as I can buy, hardly any processed foods. I don't snack. I really struggle with the weight side of it. Ive put on 10kilos in the last 6 months. Im able to exercise most days, i get to the gym once a week and walk 7k a couple of times a week and do some stretching exercises at home perhaps 3 days a week. The weight is very slowly dropping.
I shouldn’t but I honestly howled when you mentioned the woman singing to the top of her lungs behind you 😂😢 like no that shouldn’t happen in a musical theatre and the booing was plain rude.
I’m going to New York comic con soon and I’m going Friday and Sunday(I couldn’t get a Saturday ticket unfortunately). I bought autograph sessions for the six of crows(Kit Young, Amita Suman and Freddy Carter) for Friday and Ben Barnes for Sunday. I’m really excited but kinda nervous to meet them. I’m watching all the videos I can about people meeting them cause I’m hoping I can get a video of them saying hi to my little sister. I’m really lucky to have been studying in NY at the same time they’re doing a convention here but I want this experience to be my sister’s experience as much as it is mine since she loves them equally😭 Am I allowed to film my experience or even ask them to film a quick 10 second video at autograph sessions. My only experience with meeting a celeb at a convention was meeting a VA at an anime convention and you had to pay a separate fee for a video.
I agree with everything. The only problem I had when I was there was that they had called for people with VIP for Kit Connor for his photo shoot so I went up and the woman was like "Oh no we didn't call for you so go back". I had one member of staff who was wonderful to me as I almost missed my Kit and Joe meeting room and got me there even though I was 5 minutes late to it. Rest of the day went fine even if I did have a packed day with meeting all Heartstopper cast.
