The first and second level are creative 16-bit remixes of the first two levels of NES Battletoads. The remaining levels are mostly just the NES versions of Turbo Tunnel, Karnath's Lair, Clinger Winger and Rat Race with little variation from the original. Only half as many levels too. The creativity dies down dramatically as the game goes on, culminating to a lame final boss who doesn't even animate. This feels like the obvious result of being a rush job. It's a shame this franchise didn't live on much longer. The 2020 reboot sucked, but the sheer creativity and variety of the original is something that needed to have been expanded on throughout the years.
Aint no fucking way they didnt rescue zits and the girl on the front cover. What a load of shit, rare really suck a lot more than people say they do. Other than do country and perfect dark and Dkr they never hit every base
Ive just got to this level on switch i was hoping for more beat em up levels this shit is rubbish think im gonna watch a lay through and call it a day. Ive gotten way further than i did as a kid anyhow
for me the hardest part was the last bit, because once you took the speed you need to keep moving the pad up down up down without stopping, if you lose the rythm even a single second or half of second you crash without doubt.
Have you beat it yet?? What do you mean with the rat race is it the rollercoaster level where you are being chased by the rat and his saw blade... Or the tower where you race the rat to the bottom of the tower. I imagine it's the rollercoaster level since I consider it to be the most difficult level in the game

@@whysoserious9214 I got the game in 3rd grade and beat it in 9th grade. I wish they made more games with that kind of longevity. The coaster level is fucking hard. 🎢
The game designers seriously got carried away with the Battletoads series. Or they just really had a hard on for The Dark Queen taunting the Toads like she does throughout the game.
