I have a question, when I was in college we had first aid class, during this class the teacher told us to always tape and bind towards the heart. And if we didn't he'd make us start all over again because it was really important to do it that way to make sure there isn't any swelling and or loss of blood circulation. But whenever I see athletes taping and these types of videos I always see people taping away from the heart and I wonder if there is a special reason for that.
So if we were tried to protect it from dorsiflexion or our hand bending back would we just use the strip going on the inside of the palm instead of back of the hand?
I like how you listed the pieces of equipment at the beginning of your video. Doesn’t this typ of tape job limited the athletes running / sprinting ability?
Does anyone know if thats helpful with instability? As handball goalkeeper i usually have pretty bad pain, when i get a ball up there, so would that help?
