I love adventures outdoors and on the water! Currently I'm focusing on improving as a kayak bass tournament angler as part of the Strictly Sail & Kayak Fishing Team.
Sadly the world is full of these “ a-hole’s “ anymore. I’ve ran into these situations all too many times in the last few years particularly. Inconsiderate selfish stupid jerks they are🤬
Could you take a photo of your bill of sale and MSO document please? I recently purchased a fishing kayak but the manufacturer has not provided these documents. I'd like to show them what these documents should look like.
great looking BOW... really like the lookks of all the areas you were hitting... you really got something going on the weightless senko technique... there's no retirement from fishing
Nice video, and I'm glad you had success with the weightless Senko. It's the only thing that's worked for me consistently over the last couple of months. I'll have to try the lily pad approach!
Thanks! It also works amazingly well as topwater dragging over matted grass and letting it fall into any holes you come across, the downside being it is sometimes hard to get a good hookset with all that grass around it!
I've done a few buddy trips with Scott to Cumberland and he always gets nice striper or two (maybe not THIS nice), usually on an a-rig or soft plastic swimbait. I am always stubborn and don't throw what is working for him and I don't catch giant stripers, so I think we can safely say you should try an a-rig or swimbait. 🤣
You have a positive attitude, just keep the line in the water & you will catch them. Guys at strictly sail are awesome! Cincinnati area isn't the best place for largemouth fishing in general. There are places that are good, just not many. I grew up & lived, fished there my whole life. 3 years ago I moved down to southern SC. Largemouth, striper & crappie fishing has been very good to me. I've got a few places I can go catch 14-16 inch crappie all. I've caught a lot of big largemouth. Upgraded my PB the first year with a 7.8 & sense then I've upgraded multiple times with 8.0 - 8.6 - 9.3 & my current an 11.4 It's weird I saw more kayak anglers up there than I do down here?
Congrats on a few. That’s a lot of packing and unpacking each trip. But I give you high marks for that work. Maybe one day you’ll get a small truck to make life easier. Keep on casting, fishing is a great hobby/sport that will last you a lifetime.
Thanks! My dream is a big garage where I can park a trailer and leave my kayak on it, that would make my life so much easier! But for now I am thankful that I have such an amazing kayak as the Lynx that I can cartop and still be competitive!
Melissa you are such a competitor and I know your heart is into great things bass fishing like all anglers we go through our ups and downs! You keep at it don’t you stop push yourself pass those limits and you’re going to reach further goals and milestones! Thank you for sharing a little piece of your life with us and really can’t wait to see what you bring us next! Tight lines Melissa take care and God bless!❤❤❤❤
Weightless Senko has really become an important tool for me in the last couple of years! I switch it back and forth with a weightless fluke on the same setup depending on what I'm fishing at the moment.
Every time Scott and I fished Cumberland, he would get a few big stripers on an a-rig or a swimsuit, both of which I didn't know how to throw and was too stubborn to learn. I need to go back and try again now!
Nice rigging! You’re 🎣 combat ready! Just finished rigging up my OT PDL 132… popped on to see how people are using the YA mighty mounts… really like your add-on rod holders! Well done!
Im curious how sturdy it is when your moving all around because a shark is on you like those videos.....lm thinking thats the real test. You could GUARANTEE make some sales if you went into a sharky area and just go fishing and wait for the shark to come at you and well see how well it works in a REAL WORLD SITUATION.....INSTEAD OF A POOL AT THE CONVENTION CENTER. BUT YOUR A NATURAL
I only learned to frog a few years ago so I don't have a comparison yet, but I feel like the covid shutdown where the whole world went outside to play probably had an effect on the fish!
Nice! I've been wanting to catch a pike there. Same spot. I use wacky Yamamoto senko by the banks and Blue Rock finesse jigs Black/Blue in the middle in the grass trails. Blue Rock tackle always has a booth at the Ohio Fishing Expo in Columbus
@@GirlGoneFishing Yup! The Blue Rock custom tackle 1099 XL swim/finesse jigs are $5.99 from Zanesville,OH. I drift and drag through the grass. Works pretty good at East Harbor .
It was really difficult to measure them when I used my sit-in paddle kayak since I had to put the board on my lap. Now I can at least have it on the deck!
One night I made a bunch of these videos when I was really irritated at myself for losing too many fish off the board. Wanted to see if there was a common pattern I could prevent, but it seems some just get away!
I get the theory of it now, but I was unable to catch a punching fish in my next tournament so I guess I don't have it mastered yet! I would love enough free time to spend a few days out on the water just learning how to do this stuff without the pressure of a tournament, just endless time to experiment and learn!
