Typescript, Go, Elixir, Lua, C/Zig; In my opinion the stack that covers most of the potential software you would wanna make. Potential things to add/swap C++/Rust, Python/Julia, Java/Scala. But in general, I think this gets it done for most use cases. edit: I didnt include specialization languages like kotline, swift etc.. this is more of a "general take" on programming languages since I assume people questioning which language to learn tend to be more junior and new to the field.

assembly is not webassembly. they're entirely different. a memory leak is allocating memory without freeing it, not just "using too much memory". html is a markup language (it literally says it in the name), not a scripting language. css is a stylesheet (also in the name, also not a scripting language) javascript is used very frequently outside of web browsers in the form of node.js and progressive web apps go is not golang, it's go. people call it golang because it's easier to google for that way. swift is available on all platforms. MATLAB is short for MATrix LABoratory, not matrix library. it's incredible how wrong this video is, and in such basic ways.
I genuinely did not realize this video was read (and probably made) by AI until a comment pointed out how weird it sounded when it read out the website names. On closer examination, this video is definitely read by AI and had many signs pointing to it, but if you weren't purposefully looking for it, it just goes to show how good AI is getting now.
Should have spent a bit more time on Smalltalk given how influential it was to other languages including: C++, Objective-C, Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript and many others. It also invented the modern GUI and the modern Mouse (there were earlier versions of this but they were much stranger and mostly conceptual). Languages still try (and fail) to reproduce its elegance.
No mention of SAS? Most industrial & government statistical analysis was using SAS in the 1980s to early 2010s. Pharma still uses it all over. It is an ugly horribly embarrassing syntax, but it is MASSIVE -- used much much more than a bunch of the cute, niche, or research languages mentioned.

When I was in elementary school during the Space Race, we learned New Math. It seemed to be involved with a lot of number theory, the properties of numbers and such. A lot of our "problems" involved plugging values into "function boxes." When I was in sixth grade, we learned "New" New Math from the guy who had invented New Math. We were taught by grad students from the university. We didn't use a falling ball, more often we used a vibrating string and played all sorts of number games with that. We moved to another state at the end of the year and I was ever after presented with "old" math. Math just wasn't fun anymore. Looking back, it seems the whole point of "New Math" was to present number theory and the principles of calculus without getting into the actual calculations so much. It reminds me of an Advanced Topics in Astronomy class I took my second year in college, taught by the head of the Astronomy Department. It was just a bunch of lectures about "what we know about astronomy," and at the end of each week we would have to write a paper on what we learned. There was no math involved, though he occasionally would put formulas and calculations on the board "just to show that the math works," but we weren't required to know any of it. We were only responsible for understanding the concepts involved. A typical Astronomy class at this level would only be offered to Astronomy Grad students after they had achieved proficiency in advanced mathematics. Our professor wanted to see if he could teach all these "advanced topics" to undergrads without all the math. It was delightful!!
