Great picks there! I’m a big fan of all of these albums, apart from Urban Hymns which I.never managed to get into. A few I’d add to your list would be Dodgy-Homegrown, Divine Comedy-Casanova, and Gene- Olympian. You should check them out if you don’t know them! Oh, and it agree that The Bends does count as Britpop!
The best storage if you have alot of cds like myself (over 2,000) is bookcases. For vinyl I myself (just over 3,500) I like to build my own room dividers which are 8 feet long, 12 inches in width and 13 inches in height. I only stack 2 together and to hold 12 lnches off the ground with 3 milk cartons. One each at the end and 1 in the middle. And believe me those milk carton will hold a ton of vinyl. Thanks for reading my comment (from 976-CREOLEMAN).
I found the Mothership vinyl box set sounding gritty and not that clean. Almost as if it was like a K-Tel rip transfer. IE. Record to Tape to Vinyl Press. Very poor re-mastering and pressing quality.
Hi Edwin. I just stumbled upon your channel. Im a vinyl collector in Kamloops. Nice to see VC 🇨🇦 content. Looks like I've got a bunch of videos to go back and catch up on. 😊
:: didnt even notice you were gone. lol. just had to say that since im new here :: really dig the room & sweet system! :: props on the healthy lifestyle
Corrections: the soundtrack from Repo Man isn't the only place you find Institutionalized by Suicidal Tendencies, it was first released on thier debut self-titled album from.1983, a full year before the Repo Man movie soundtrack was released in 1984. / Exene pronounces her name Ex-een. It rhymes with names like Francine, Maureen, and most relevantly Christine which is her actual first name. / The Misfits didn't introduce skateboarding to punk rock, and in fact, they aren't even part of the skate-punk sub-genre, they are horror-punk. The bands most responsible for skate-punk were Jodie Foster's Army (also known as JFA), Code of Honor, Big Boys, and a little later, NOFX. / The song Strychnine is pronounced Strick-nine. Yes, it was originally by The Sonics. Since you mentioned the X album was produced by Ray Manzarack of The Doors, you might want to mention that Cramps album was produced by Alex Chilton of The Box Tops and Big Star. By the way you mentioned that The Cramps also started a subgenre. It's called Psychobilly
