i got one recently from habitat but it's little more rough shape on least 1 of the blade arms but it works great in all 3 speeds but didnt had light on mine at all
It seems that the industrials were there since at least 2009. Then by 2014 the tilghmans were put up. Then in 2015 they replaced them with industrials again which were there until at least 2020. Sometime after they replaced them with the steals and now they are replaced by these.
Yeah. I have some feelings that first set of Hampton Bay Industrial replaced another fans, unless whoever replaced Hampton Bay Industrial with Minka Aire Steal actually used an effort to replace 4 speed wall control with included ones that look the same (inside actually has different capacitors but an average person would assume it's the same model of the control). I remember when Minka Aire Steal had a good low speed, and a control that comes with a Hampton Bay Industrial would give them a fast low speed, and those fans are still on 4 speed wall controls, and I was told there are some sharpie marks to set to speed 1.
That fan doesn’t make this sound anymore. The sound was caused by a dimmer switch chopping current, even at the full position. The dimmer has been disconnected and the fan no longer hums.
Yeah maybe they have bad capacitors. It seems common for 188mm motor to have a bad capacitor because they often don’t use a right capacitor, meaning that the capacitor gets more volts causing them to wear out faster.
No, they're not outdoor rated, but blades didn't seem to warp yet. Also the wobbling one died and was replaced with Harbor Breeze Calera which is outdoor rated.
