These people ripped me off. I just asked for chocolate ice cream, the guy put a few scoops on it and then charged me 300 liras, I told him I didn't ask for three scoops and maybe he should have asked me how many scoops I wanted, instead of me having to specify the amount otherwise giving me maximum amount. We had a back & forth exchange, in the end I ended up paying the 300 liras as I was a tourist in a foreign country. 300 liras is close enough to £8 at time of writing. Other places like this in Istanbul charge 20 liras per scoop for the same thing!

I mean, rhe video isnt wrong lol. Diamond prices have always been especulative and artificially inflated. The stone itself has no value and their resell value is atrocious. Nobel metals at least have practical uses and are actually sought after for a myriad of tech components and developement. Diamons are just... there.
4:50 the problem with the cow analogy is that the cows have resale value. they provide meat and milk and new cows. that’s why newlyweds got cows. diamonds sit there and lose 40% of their value when they leave the store.
