Hi Daphné 👋. Our product doesn't have a feature for this. However, if you email us a CSV with all of your Wordpress comments to hello@supersparks.io, we can take care importing the comments for you :).
Hello! I just added your template to my current site. Works great! One question though, how do users get their profile picture? I notice here, you ask them to upload during sign up, what happens after? Im using webflow memberships. What is the current method of users having there own members pictures? Thank you for all your hard work! You are providing a service fills a gap in the Webflow space!!
Hey MapleStruggle. Thanks so much - glad it's working well for you!! When adding the template to an existing website, you would need to upgrade to a business plan to add a field for file uploads / profile images in the Webflow memberships settings. Then you just need to make sure the slug of the upload field is 'profile-images'. There is a bit of a hack around this though. If you email me at ian@supersparks.io, I would be happy to share it with you :)
Hey, one more question, I would need the forum to be accessible only to members. In your tutorial, guests can also access. How can I limit the access to members only ? Thanks again
Hi again Caroline. Depending on the membership tool you are using, you can use their different gated content features to hide pages / elements to make them member only. For example, hiding the new post or comment form for logged out users & showing an element saying something like 'you need to be a member to post'. Or you could just gate access to the page altogether. You can learn more about these features for Webflow Memberships below: webflow.com/user-accounts Then, you can delete the guest author inputs from the new post form, comment forms, & cms collection.. Members don't need to input their name / email when they post content, since this data is already connected to their account.
Hi Ian, great stuff ! I would really need the possibility for the members to post images along with their comments. The forum is about technical equipment that really need to be illustrated with images. Is it possible yet ? if not, for when is this planned ? Thanks so much :)
Thanks Caroline 🙌. It's not possible for members to add images with comments yet, but it's on our roadmap for next month. Inline images for community posts should be live next week. I will let you know when it's live. Here to help if you have any other questions!!
Thanks Sebastian!!! We are actually putting the final touches on our Outseta integration right now and it should be live this week. I will keep you posted :)
@@SebastianScheerer Hi Sebastian.. Apologies for the delay.. The Outseta integration is now live. Below is a cloneable & preview version of the template: webflow.com/made-in-webflow/website/forum-template-outseta-cloneable webflow-forum-template-outseta.webflow.io/ After cloning the template & setting up our app, there are just a few Outseta specific details worth noting which are outlined below: www.supersparks.io/help-articles/outseta-community-template-unique-instructions Just let me know at ian@supersparks.io you have any questions, encounter any issues, or have feedback :)
If you would like to add a template to an existing Webflow project, I made a follow up tutorial. Link below 👇: www.supersparks.io/help-articles/how-can-i-use-a-community-template-with-an-existing-webflow-project This tutorial shows the process for implementing a Webflow Memberships version of our template. For special instructions for the Outseta & Memberstack versions, be sure to check out the articles below: Outseta - www.supersparks.io/help-articles/outseta-community-template-unique-instructions Memberstack - www.supersparks.io/help-articles/memberstack-community-template-unique-instructions
Hi, that sounds promising. Can you translate every thing in another language like "new post", "type here" ? And I see there is only the option to post a link. Is there another option to post pictures ? Thanks
Thanks Florian. Yes, you can translate all of the elements with text in the Webflow Designer. At 13:30 I show how to change the placeholder text. It's not possible for users to upload inline images at this time, but it's high on our roadmap and should be live in the next couple weeks 💪. Users can paste images (hosted elsewhere) into the editor in the meantime.
@@ianrutaThanks for your answer. I've been looking for weeks to find some community plateform that matches all my need. My website is on weblfow so this could work. I like Skool for it's simplicity and the gamification element to it, but they don't support Fench. The template you show seems pretty close and if customizable should be a good fit. Nice for the image, I should be ready to launch during summer. Is there any gamification element ?
@@florianbennissi9479 My pleasure Florian. Below is a follow up tutorial for using the template with an existing Webflow project: www.supersparks.io/help-articles/how-can-i-use-a-community-template-with-an-existing-webflow-project You are the 3rd person to ask about gamification this week, so we will definitely look into adding it down the road :). I love the fresh approach it brings to community engagement. We just launched, so it's early days in terms of features. But where our tool currently shines is our design flexibility via our Webflow integration. I'd be thrilled to give you a tour of our product closer to your launch - you can reach me at ian@supersparks.io. Here to answer any questions have in the meantime :)
Hello! That's strange 🤔. Have you created a CMS collection yet for blogs? The blog template page should become available once there is a CMS collection. Also, just a heads up, the ability paste code into page settings requires Webflow's CMS plan. If you are still unable to find this page do not hesitate to share a preview link to your project at hello@supersparks.io :).
Hey everyone 👋. Please note, the section for configuring custom fields with membership tools has moved since this recording. You can now find this section by clicking 'Configuration' on our sidebar, and selecting 'Memberships'. Thanks for watching!

Hey! If you go to step 5 of the installation (extra functions), you will see the delete function where you can paste the supersparks-delete-button-xxxxx class to any link or button element. The IGN & Medium sites come with this delete function pre-installed. Only logged in users can delete their own comments. As an admin, you can delete any comments from the comment dashboard: app.supersparks.io/comments Feel free to email me at hello@supersparks.io if this doesn't work. Happy to help 😀
Hey 👋! Yes, you can remove flickering by changing the opacity of the comments grid to 0% before publishing. Below is a quick tutorial for this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O4-FAM42qn0.html If you also want to increase the speed comments load at, you can move our script inside the <head> tag of your page settings. Hope this helped ! Feel free to email me ian@supersparks.io if this issue persists.
Hi @ianruta, I'm really grateful for your quick response - thanks a lot! It looks like tweaking the opacity did help with the flickering of the comment section, which is awesome progress. But, here's the thing: the other elements still seem to flick when they load. Any thoughts on what might be causing this reload action? Thanks a ton in advance for your insights!
@@mxc9665 Ahh sorry, I see now. The problem is with the page load interactions retriggering - I am guessing certain elements are hidden as an initial state in the interactions? If yes, there are two ways you can prevent this double load effect: 1) remove the page load interactions altogether (or at least the ones visible in the first frame); 2) move the initial state configuration to the style manager; for example, a section could be hidden in the style manager before publishing, then revealed by an interaction on page load.. Our app re-initializes interactions when it's loaded in order to enable interactions within dynamic elements like our comments. Without this though, it wouldn't be possible to add interactions in the comment section, like hiding and showing the reply form. Hopefully this makes sense and sorry if these solutions are less than ideal. Let me know if you have any more questions :)
Thanks Kelly. This should be possible. You could use the Supersparks app to play previews from a Cms collection.. Then you could use Webflow Ecommerce to sell digital products and connect to a cms collection for previews. I am planning to make a tutorial for building audio file shops in Webflow soon!
Hey Oli. No particular order and the best one depends on your needs: a) Working with Figma & a design system with Systemflow or b) A collection of eye-catching styled components with Flowbase.. Untitled UI now has a Webflow library which I also recommend: library.relume.io/folder?p=untitled-ui&via=untitledui
