Alarma - I think this is a reference to the song they'd usually play in noontime shows during the 90's-early 2000's for production numbers involving tosses and stunts. I remember watching a segment on MTB (Magandang Tanghali Bayan) way back called "Flying Sexy Girl", where contestants do that toss move all the time. So, when someone says "Alarma", my mind goes straight to THAT song, and THAT stunt. I could be wrong tho.

Hearing a more than two decade old case of domestic abuse inside a marriage feels sad knowing how little we as a Filipino society has been viewing marriages as a whole. This is not to discredit the laws legislated since then as we have been moving, slow, but moving. It is rather disheartening to still find a huge number of the populace see disgrace on a separated couple, especially with women. This is why we're in dire need of the divorce bill to be finally passed as a law, not only does it create a route out of abusive marriages but also it will have a larger impact on our distinction of the nuances that a traditional view on marriage blurs.
