For anyone one wanting an updated guide on best classes to choose most of what's in this video holds true still but in the latest build you should think about going with stormshaper instead of kelvanist because stormshaper has some amazing new spells including teleporting and a spell that makes you immune to electricity. From what i can tell investing in stormshaper spells also raises your electric immunity till eventually your permanently immune without having to cast anything. It also lets you pair force mage with biotech. You basically become an electric cyborg wizard that can teleport behind your enemies like an anime.
It's still pain today. Last time I got super far in the Mines I grabbed the artifact and it said "You can't use this here". I walked through one set of gas areas to get up a level, explored the next level with many painful paths just to find out the next areas are just gas as well. But when I was going to said gas areas I fell down one too many pit and died. I had 20 perception too. Gotta be a masochist in order to get out of the Mines...
Hey thanks, nice video! Can you make one on Mind Over Matter mod? I cant for the life of me figure out if the drain is bugged or not, even tried using debug menu.
I’ve actually been trying to update myself on everything, the proficiency system is weird, and I did notice that mod in the loader now but I haven’t experimented with it as of yet, got a lot of ideas but not enough coherence to turn it into a proper vidja’ yet
Its from the Sega Genesis game Comix Zone, i recognize track 4 (first level music), but it sounds like later tracks are used later in the video so it could be the whole ost
@@Xenbiotic hes playing the newest version. you can turn on the trait point system in the settings menu. I always do since I find the free start considerably less interesting then trying to make a character within boundries
@@goinforaschwim2119 The thing about the free start is that you are under no obligation to be fully free; You can set your own personally defined limitations. And considering that the trait point system is explicitly stated to no longer be balanced (as demonstrated in the video where some positive traits actually hinder you while some negative ones are straight up buffs), I'd say that setting personally defined challenges has far more merit. At least that's my two pennies.
@OzixiThrill ah that is a fair point. However I think having a free start as an option allows for both types of players. I personally think it's lazy that they are giving up on balancing traits to point costs, because I find playing within boundries set by the game way more interesting because then you have proper build making. Having to handicap my self in order to have something that isint both blatantly overpowered and but also powerful enough to be fun, that was what the point system was for and I thought it was fun. I don't see why they are trying to remove it and make the free point system the only option. That's just my opinion.
You talk a lot about food and animal meat in this video. Am I the only one that just raids evac shelters for their protein/multivitamin bars and tosses a 60L tank on the brazier to purify? I come across them all the time, and an intact shelter will sometimes have over 100 protein wraps.
except if you get shot in the leg and it breaks you're out for an in game month... that is not a fun place to be. I get wanting consequence for a non-lethal mistake, truly, but I felt like I was wasting my own time using that trait.
If you can find the Telescopic Eyes CBM then nearsighted and farsighted become free points as both disappear when you implant them. Now finding any specific CBM or finding any CBM at all is pretty much not going to happen but if you happen to be running a mod that lets you make them or increases the availability of CBMs then you might consider those traits as a temporary early game setback.
Fast reader is awesome for quickly regaining morale and burning through books. I'd rather waste less time at my base than spare a single point. We're human beings who live in the real world, not CDDA characters. Saving time IRL is more valuable than whatever else a single point would give me in-game.
Thats a good argument tbf. Personally whenever I read long books I simply start doing something else, like watching tv or some RU-vid. I generally just pick points into int rather than fast reader tho for the crafting bonus and reading bonus
I've got bark and some other skin mutation in the early game from some radioctive plant bug or something and i can run naked with shoes and safety glasses, killing hordes with bare hands and not taking any damage. Too OP
Full coverage is great overall and in general, but when up against specific enemies then you can get ripped apart if you aren’t paying attention, had quite a few mishaps myself doing stuff like that 😉 nothing really beats taking it slow and steady, though it is rather tedious
Thanks for pointing out the comment I made, I simply meant that it wouldn't let me level my other combat skills fast enough, and when you slowly whittle away at a bunch of zombies at the edge of a city, it can be rather tedious since you'll be doing less damage in the early levels, thus resulting in more damage being taken (unless you play carefully, I just get rather impatient) and having to typically retreat frequently, more than usual anyways.
Your hidden fatigue stat goes up 33% faster (starts at 0, goes down to -25 after sleeping with un-interrupted sleep) and when you sleep it takes 33% longer for your fatigue to go down, resulting in you sleeping for longer to get your fatigue back to zero when I had tested it, being *Tired* starts at around 100-125 fatigue. however, it doesn't change how you recover exhaustion, which is also a hidden stat that goes up from 0, that goes down when you sleep as intended it's supposed to prevent people from using stockpiled stimulants and other things that remove fatigue, thus resulting in needing to sleep at some point anyways. Hope that helped in any confusion, summed up you need to sleep 33% more frequently.
Also, really? Talk about point balancing when devs just obsoleted it specifically to make people play game and not calculate what traits to pick? (you can pick it still yeah, but it is hidden somewhere in the world settings)
they proc almost every attack for me and make move speed faster especially over terrain (not sure if they do still they worked this way in c/d/e and it SCALES with stregnth and combat stances and styles @@disu1436
