My channel may not have long to survive. I have had 2 strikes now, one more and I'm gone.
Firstly, a BIG thanx to all who have enjoyed the records, I appreciate all comments.
I'm not one for commenting on things people say, sorry bout that. I have always tried to keep a low profile.
The important thing is the music that these great writers, artists, producers, and arrangers have given us.
All I have ever wanted to do was keep this music out there, for I'm sure there is still a lot of people in this world who would stumble across these old 45's and fall in love with some of them.
I find it strange that record companies would object to these musical heroes getting just a little bit more exposure, even in such a small way as the records I post.
The ONLY reason i started the channel was to take these records off the shelves and try to find a loving audience for them.
No personal gain, for i get all i need just playing them.
Comments I have had from some of the people who actually created the music and their families have touched me deeply, and made me so thankful that i ever bothered to start the channel.
I am going to keep posting 'till they lift the needle from the groove for good. I just wanted to say thankyou, before I don't have the chance to
Music, whatever the music...as perennial as the rising sun, and still under your skin when the whole day's done!
Sadly the illustrious Pat Lewis passed away yesterday, Sept 2nd 2024 in her home in Detroit MI. I was her neighbor and was honored to have gotten to know her over the last 7 years. She became a sweet and kind friend and I will always cherish her memory. R.I.H. Pat ❤ You inspired and uplifted many. You will be missed. ❤
No doubt that Bettye "owns" this tune, but Jackie Moore gives her a real run for her money. Great find; a lot going on!! Keep up the good work, Soulhawk!! Thanks for what you do!!
Can hardly wait for the biopic on this great, underrated group. A movie vovetong their classic 60s hits sll the way up to "All Noght Thing" as the Invisible Man's band onto Keni Burke's 80s' hit, "Keep Rising To The Top". Yes! I'm speaking it into existence. Are you listening Hollywood?! Check it Out! Ciao!!! Amen!
August 29, 2024 - LOVE this song! The lyrics have so much meaning. I pretty much never hear this song on oldies stations. Takes me back to my childhood. Great memories...

Take me to the days when I can go into the restaurant. I put a little coin in the little jukebox Play the songs. Always after 2:00 when the bars closed down.❤
Take me to the past because I will never forget things that were happening in good days of the life of being a young man I'll just let you know I'm not young no more. And I love this ❤ band
