ABOUT ME ▼ For the last 20 years I've studied and worked in both the music and TV industry. For as long as I can remember, I've carried a camera with me filming my life.
Professionally, I've been working as a freelance self-shooting PD making shows such as Chateau DIY for Channel 4 and Antiques Road Trip for the BBC. I've also filmed documentaries all around the world. While in the music biz I worked with Paul McCartney, Dire Straits, George Martin, The Beautiful South, Elton John and Dave Gilmour.
Interestingly I am also just about to jab myself for the first time with M so this video was incredibly useful. I also plan to live on TDR shaves but from Huel rather than Altlife this time. THANKS
You're right, just be yourself. Just do normal things and talk. I'm not that old yet, but a bit trapped in not being able to get out. The wise heads are now figuring out that I probably juggled my life with narcolepsy and was able to function through much of my adult life with work and children, -I knew what times of day to eat and rest. But since chemotherapy over 10 years ago, I can't find a pattern of when I can act or when I fall over. Just to say: Lots of people are stuck alone for many hours, not just the elderly. Everyone can find comfort and entertainment in having RU-vid running just so there is some human company :) Not always watching, but listening while doing other things. A person not pretending, just talking his thoughts in a relaxed way.
This is interesting as I too started on the shakes again and found it more difficult to start again, I was offered a pill form of the injection called Semaglutide, which I'm seriously considering but I'm 50/50 about starting it. It will be interesting to see how you get on with the injection and to be fair, the podcasts I've watched are quite positive relating to it so I look forward to catching up with your updates

Welcome back, it's great that I spotted your video this morning as I'm back to Day 1 again too. I started my journey back in January and your videos were on repeat, they gave me much encouragement to get through that first 12 weeks. I lost 3 stone, felt great, but like you, fell off the wagon. Listening to your journey resonates so much that I look forward to your future videos. Feeling positive, Thank you.
Hi Craig.. I’m so glad you are back!! Nice to see you again! I followed you when I started my TDR journey last year.. and I lost an amazing 3 stone, like you I felt great UNTIL… I started introducing food again.. I was ill the first month after eating and then it put me off so I ended my programme too.. I felt I didn’t have the right support once eating which was the worst part about the diet.. I can now say I’m embarrassed to say Iv put the weight back and probably more 😢 Iv also now been diagnosed with pre diabetes.. so hearing you say that you are going to start again have giving me motivation to get back on it.. im thinking fruit for breakfast, shake for lunch and a nice healthy meal for dinner.. 🤞🏻 look forward to watching your journey good luck 🤞🏻
Good to see you Craig. I wasn’t getting the notifications, so I’ve watched the ones I’ve missed now. Don’t beat yourself up for not being a chef!! It’s not for everyone. Sure you’ll find a way. You’re looking well, so it’s onwards and upwards. Have you watched the Carnivore videos? There’s some great ones - lots of testimonies and good sound evidence. Take care 🐝
Interesting video Craig - heartbreaking for those Crofting families; I hope some of them found new homes 😢. You’re right about Scotland in Autumn, the colours are beautiful 🏴
Love this post and you’re allowing us a great glimpse of the place. One thing though, Ram was recorded over October 1970-March 1971 both in Columbia and A&R studios in NYC and mixed and partially at Sound Recording service in LA, not here.
Well done for planning on getting back on plan. I'm in the same boat as you at the reintroduction phase I started to put weight back on. But still 2 stone down. The "support" you get through the app all throughout the programme is woeful. But what I would say is the first 12 weeks proves to you is you can do it on your own and if you feel you can't join weight watchers / slimming world just for the group support. My plan is to go back on the shakes for 4 weeks and then do an extended mix of shakes and a normal meal. Hopefully find that balance that keeps the weight off.
Craig you’re like the Scarlett Pimpernel- elusive!! Good to see you back, fab looking bike - I saw your latest video - here’s hoping you can get your bike restored. Sad what happened 😢🐝
Dear craig do look up Orlistat and xenical and the side effects. My shakes don't have it on the packet but its there because I recognise its effects on my body.
Don’t be embarrassed for being human, sugar and carb addiction is just as real as drugs or gambling.. Mine is such an “uncannily” similar story to yours. Did the NHS shake diet ( type 2) and lost 3 stone and maintained loss and even lost a few more pounds for six months doing a low carb diet. Then two AI holidays in quick succession and four family birthdays in one month meant I seriously fell off the wagon. And to top it all off I got seriously busy and distracted not to mention stressed when I randomly got it into my head that I needed a challenge in my life and started my RU-vid Channel! When I realised I’d put 20 pounds on, I had a serious talk to myself and ordered the shakes. I’m now in week three of the eight weeks. I’m finding it harder this time around, like you say no accountability via the app. But my motivation is strong and I’m 12lbs down so far. Good luck, I’ll look forward to watching your progress and hopefully we can support each other 😛
I have researched he’s about this diet and went on a diabetes fb page and seen people mention it and some say they lost loads of weight but put back more. Hope they are just a small minority
Good for you!!! I’m on the NHS plan also and the re-introduction stage really worries me as the shakes stage doesn’t change your way of thinking about food. I’m scared that I’ll get to week 13 and it will all go to pot. Well done on coming back here to update. I look forward to your new videos x
The reintroduction phase isn't hard ....but the month after that just devise a plan that works for you, I wish I had planned more and been controlled in what I did when back to real food
Your series was particularly encouraging to me, especially when I began, as I felt alone on this journey. I'm in week 7 of TDR. I've had a few off-plan treats while on holiday, but I'm still working hard to reach my goal. You should definitely do another series-I think you should tackle it with the full 52g serving to get a better sense of what the programme is like. You can always increase the water to keep the consistency. Thanks for being so open about the challenges. Wishing you the best on your fresh start. Looking forward to more of your adventures, whether they're on foot, bike, or coach!
Hi Phil I’m on week 10 of my TDR I’ve dieted in the past and I’ve cheated myself etc but this time 10 weeks not a single slip, no treats nothing! I’ve lost a fair amount of weight and feel amazing for it, hope your journey is going well
@@jamiebaxter2363 Congrats on sticking with it and getting through the TDR-great to hear you've seen good results so far! Wishing you all the best for the rest of the programme. I've been happy with my own progress, though I'm still a bit apprehensive about long-term remission and goals. Even though I haven’t been as strict as I could be, I try not to beat myself up-it's a lifelong struggle/commitment after all!
@@PhilWylieUK yea I get that , I’ve been back on 1 solid meal a day for 3 days now I lost exactly 5 stone in the 12 weeks it’s now too see how food reintroduction affects the weight loss, I feel so much better in myself mentally and physically I couldn’t thank trusting the process enough! Keep going mate
I recently found (and enjoy) your channel. I started my total meal replacement pathway for diabetes remission 9 days ago. Shakes only. It’s been tough (craving food). Lost 14lbs and bloods sugar down to 6.4 today (it was 22.4 before Day 1). You have done well. You are most eloquent and watchable. Keep going…it’s a journey. Not just this…the whole life thing. Respect to you. I will happily support you with the £1.99 per month too. Let me know how. Are you on Instagram? Best wishes
I really appreciated hearing about the shake and soup diet from someone down to earth not trying to do the upsell, im glad to hear that you are going to continue doing videos. Cheers.
Hi Craig. Welcome back. I did wonder what had happened to you. I’m on day 5 of the programme and your videos were a helpful heads up of what to expect. Good luck getting back on it, and with the channel.
I love videos like this. You seem more natural this way, I have binge watched all your videos. It's cool to have someone who I can relate to. Keep up the good fight.
I'm just a guy in Colorado who found you because of your James Corden video. I know you're straight, but I kept watching because I thought you were quite handsome and charismatic. It's easy to root for you. Glad to hear from you. I don't see you as a failure. You're just a normal person being tempted like everyone else. Accountability is important, but I think the financial system we live under makes the management of addictions (benign or otherwise) a daily part of life. Glad you're still wrestling with it though. Good luck moving forward. Cheers!
Hi Ive loved watching your Diet videos, im super impressed, I've a;ready aplied to go on this course just waiting for a reply from my doctor, Now watching you i cant WEIGHT to get started, thanks for all your thoughts and input into how your body reacts to the shake powders, I'm now aware of what would lie ahead ie side affects and others.hope I can loose the pounds just like you have.
Hello Craig, Cheers from across the pond! I'm a "4ever Beatles" fan, so I really appreciate your video's. I love seeing up-close where Macca & fam used to live, & I can understand why they loved living there so much, solitude. I've seen your Kintyre vid, also. Loved that! Looking forward to more Beatle vids in the future. 👍
Maybe the Land Reform Act has contributed to him not spending time there anymore. I've wondered about this little part of the world, and what about it brought him so much peace. I like that you admired from a distance, and didn't desecrate it by climbing fences and closed gates. Land reform act or not, I would not have been comfortable turning in off the road.
@@emmaaustin123 Alive!!!! Struggling with work vs time… I’d like to make videos full time but my landlady wants rent… and videos for pay for a channel my size. It’s on my mind constantly to make more videos….
@@craig-duncan Phew! Glad you are alive and hopefully well. Sorry you tube videos aren't yet paying for your needs. A content idea would be a follow up of how you are doing. An honest appraisal. What's worked, what hasn't.
