Sol Regem really snitched on a child knowing what the other Startouch Elves might do to her for that, I'm starting to think that bigoted bastard really got what he deserved for accidently burying his mate alive and losing his eyesight.
Honestly, I hate the situation with Rayla‘s parents. I feel like they’re the kind of people who don’t need to have kids. Firstly, they don’t put their daughter first. They choose to go on a mission to save the dragon prince when literally any other Moonshadow elf could have taken that responsibility. And then they BOTH abandoned her to be raised by others. Would it have really been so hard for one of them to stay behind for Rayla‘s sake? 🤷🏽♀️ I just think that a parent should want to raise their child themselves and only leave their child if they absolutely must. And to make matters worse, they spend their imprisonment just dancing the night away with each other. They’re were trying to break out of their coin prison. They didn’t show any signs of being consumed by grief or worry from being separated from their daughter. They didn’t cry any tears of joy or remorse upon seeing their only child all grown up nor did ask her about her life and all the things that Rayla’s done. All they cared about was each other and fulfilling their mission. Even in their final moments, they only thought about the dragon prince. And the fact that they chose to spend eternity with each other instead of at least one of them choosing to stay behind and reunite with their daughter…well, that speaks volumes. Rayla cared a lot more about them then they ever did about her. They’re crappy parents. Runaan and Elthari were better parents to Rayla than her own parents. Even when Runaan was upset with Rayla, he chose to keep her out of the fight and told her to go back home if he didn’t return. And Elthari was so kind, welcoming, and loving to her, even when he was upset with her. 😔 I just think it’s a shame that so many writers today feel like they have to get rid of the parents in order for the kids to go on adventures, etc.
we cheered for his first death yet for his second we hold our heads in sorrow for a monster has proven even they, in their last moments, can be redeemed
"I am a servant." I'm glad he at least got to tell Soren he was proud of him. And I'm glad that his last words to Claudia were about how much he loved her. The elves and dragons see dark magic as evil, and plenty of Viren's spells have been evil. But his first spell was to cure his son and his last was to save his people from a bitter, vengeful dragon's fire. Dark magic is not "evil magic." It depends on who uses it and why.
Omg wait!!! That little girl was probably the one gifted magic by leola and became the human mage that defeated aaravos. He was defeated 1000 years after this though😅
The situational irony here is written beautifully. The fact that Viren uses dark magic - a malevolent form of magic that required the sacrifice of other creatures, to instead sacrifice only himself to save countless others was incredible.
When a hero's heart is broken the monster awakens, when a kind man hardens and takes up arms the whole world has reason to fear... They touched your daughter and now there will be no mercy, for anyone!
