Thank you so much this is what was wrong with mine, wouldn’t stay in Drive because of the resistance on the wires, dealer told me they’d need to replace a bunch of bs, I watch one video rip it apart and adjust how the wires sit in the housing and bang, done deal. Thanks.
Good stuff. Looked like the gyro was armed when you had the plane inverted, so it was trying to "correct" at launch by going inverted. It looked like your elevator was at full down deflection when the plane is in your hand, just prior to launch. The gyro was the problem, then became the solution, but is ultimately a problem. You probably would have been successful without it.
Of course it doesn't, it was taken with my cell phone quickly and then I put it away and enjoyed being in the front row of an awesome concert as one should 😂
Been thinking about pulling the trigger on this one now that I'm seeing them for around $125. Have a arua 5 light flight controller and some 2 gram servos set aside so i can can the stock electronics due to seeing lots of people having trouble with the one thats in it. Did it fly good for you with the stock brick?
It was a rough learning curve lol. It flew ok. I learned alot from it. Check out my other videos of flights (and crashes) with this plane. I'm getting alittle better all the time 😊
Great job congrats waited a month for mine to show up went to assemble it came with two right horizonal stabilizer waiting for reply back from Horizon Hobby but you did great 😀🛩👍👍
I had the same problem too, I had to flip one rear Stabilizer upside down and cut off the servo horn. Then I used an ink pen tube and epoxy with 2 small heated up nail brads to connect them securely. It was a pain but it hold really strong. My plane sat in the box fr a couple years before I opened it and found the problem so I didn't know if replacement parts are available.
Bob from Horizon Hobby got a hold of me told him the issue he sent me a match set shipped to me in 3 days HH came thru for me, now waiting for better weather for my maiden @@trdtacoloversuzuki3822
Yeah it took me a long time to move up to war birds without using the gyro. I'm currently flying a 1200mm P47 that I love. I still use the gyro sometimes and they are a wonderful tool for newbies like myself.
@@trdtacoloversuzuki3822 not knocking gyros i am sure if i used them i would have saved hundreds of dollars and a few hundred hours in repairs since 2011 when i started...Happy flying
Never cut off your power completely when landing if you had a little head wind you would of stalled and crashed you need some air flow over the wings to help sustain lift and control from its tail surfaces also , it's a beginners mistake . Ask me how know😢
That last landing was really awesome! Hard to do with a tail dragger, no bounce, I'm getting used to the big timber type wheels, have to get the Warbird landing down again, lol😂great job👍👍
The airfare from SFO was about 1600 counting the smaller flight from Manila to Busuanga Philippines. There's alot of better prices and deals if you plan really far ahead though.
Omg the vibration in that engine the shaft is seriously bend i guess. It is theyre weak spot... Hat to straihten mine also after 2 landings in gras and tip over because of the wheels.
Great video. I am thinking about getting one. I appreciate that you left the first attempts on the video. We can all learn from it and be aware in case the same thing happens to us!
