So after the squirt and squeegee, you let it dry for a couple minutes then apple the sealant to the entire area? I understand it removes excess paint, but what about the paint that filled the chips? Will it remove that as well?

@@tpando561 but if you are applying the sealact on the chip and also the surrounding areas (excess), how does it only remove the excess paint? sealact will also come in contact with the paint that resides in the chip...

Hello TheCanada1 ! Thanks for the note. Generally speaking, the paint will dry in 4 minutes or less, depending on ambiant temp and humidity. Then you would use Step 2 for removal, followed by a quick buff with microfiber towel for finish. All items are in the kits sold on our website. Thanks!
These videos are always on Red, Black or White cars the ones that are easy to paint match and hide the chips, I ordered this kit for my SS2 colour BMW M3 and the colour match was poor

3 car customer here. It works better than anything else. Thanks Dr. Be patient, apply liberally. Be patient. The clean-up solution quickly removes any extra. Apply liberally. Be patient. Don't mean to be repetitive but over cautiousness is not the way. Just get after it according to this video and it works. Another touch a few days later may help.
After they filled the pits the video shoot ended and a new shoot began when they were cleaning up and If you look closely at the reflection there is absolutely no hint of where the chips were which there absolutely would be which pretty much proves they used a different unchipped car for the final shoot. Things that seem too good to be true almost always are. Buyers beware because your results may be vastly different when you try these expensive products yourself. Read their Yelp reviews first and you'll see what I mean. There is nothing limiting positive reviews made by friends of the product seller. I have used their products very carefully over and over and every time I tried cleaning up the excess paint, all the paint in the chips came out. I've been detailing cars for over 30 years ans have always used specialized paint chip brushes which work but it takes a lot of time with repeated application of thinned paint droplets to completely fill the chip and wet sand it down. I think it is impossible to use the chip filling method shown here and have results anywhere near what you see here. The only positive thing I have to say is if you have a paint code and want to have them make you some touch up paint to be applied by a tiny brush then that's fine. I wouldn't bother trying to put clear over it because it will likely make it far more noticeable.

not hard , just drip some paint on to the surrounding area and squeegee , take your time. for best results may need multiple passes , when you no longer can see the gashes apply the seal act to the supplied cloth and wipe the area down . immediately dry with the microfiber cloth. if required repeat the steps until the marks are invisible
The seal act ends up removing the paint. What you need is some type of putty that goes on before to fill in the scratch/chip to level the surface then paint over that.

You might want to try manual focus on videos taken at close range at reflective surfaces. You'll get consistent non-blurry video instead of auto focus hunting up and down looking for something to focus on.

Hello Paul! Your paint should blend nicely even if the paint has faded a bit. For stone chips, color fade does not generally make much of a difference. My car doesn't have chips but more like white small round spots all over the car, its through the clear coat but not deep into metal. Would this product fix it? And I have uncommon color, burned orange, do u carry that? Have been to ur site yet

Our rule of thumb is damage about the size of a pencil eraser is about the maximum we consider for an excellent repair........and yes, we have NO BLOBS!....thanks again for your inquiry!
Hello Willow407! Great question!...The Dr. ColorChip product is best suited for chip damage no larger than the size of a pencil eraser. When you get to the size of a dime, the damage may be too large and need a body/ paint shop repair, which could be somewhat costly. However, if you ordered one of our kits to have an exact paint color match, it would definitely look better than the damage, but would be more noticeable. thanks!
Wish i had known about this product before I left a bunch of blobs with touch up paint, and how big of a chip before this process won't work that well? There are a few chips that are like 2-3 mm in diameter.
i just bought a used car and some of the car (about the size of my hand) is spray painted a different color, would this product be a good idea for me to use? and also does it fix paint with some sun damage?
