This is exactly why I'm on RU-vid learning skills my vocation doesn't require. Destroy yourselves at your own cost. 30% is better unless it requires certification or licensure.

What would your recommendation be for a junk removal company? Leasing or buying a dump truck?

I can't believe how 1 for 1 I am with this guy. I bought a Tacoma, I use an old bin for my batteries, I used to use totes to store materials in the back, I just happened to start building my own version of the "Decked" system to upgrade my tool storage and material storage.

Another point: using harsh chemicals can distroy lawns, plants etc. Additionally it will destroy your body breathing it in. Serious lung issues.

Pw is not an easy business. It will wear out your body quickly. It's a young men's business. I did it on a smaller scale. Didn't make the big bucks.

How do you learn the skills for all of these types of jobs?
@Jobber
@Jobber 6 дней назад
Hey there, thanks for watching! There's no one path to handyman training. You could start with community college/vocational training, volunteering, independent learning, or getting some entry-level work experience to name a few ways. We some resources that you can reference as you get started --> getjobber.com/academy/handyman/

And this is why people LOVE figuring out how to do shit themselves. Maybe not buld a whole house, but drywall a room, paint, build a shed.

right now in this day and age with high rise in living expenses as well as inflation the best job too have as a contractor is definitely this, not just pressure washing business but anything that involves renovations for a property or maintenance, people are lazy nowadays or have no time to maintain their property due to excessive work hours, you make more from renovation of existing houses than residential construction due to the drop rate of real state

Because of this dumb rule, we customers now have a rule. It's called do my own work or hire our own labor. Getting free tools and materials, priceless. Besides, I do way better quality work than most contractors.

What I heard was, this is going to cost $500. I’ll figure it out. If I fuck it up, I have 6 attempts at this before I’m in the negative and on the positing side I learned a new skill.

lol 😂 you can start off at 001 if it’s a new client they will know no different if it’s your first client just get the money in always do good job they will keep coming back for more never lost a client in 30 years of business unless they’ve died or move out of the area from which you service when your first starting out, just be genuine and you can’t go wrong

$50 is still low. I didn’t start making good profit until $100/hr. Of course I didn’t start charging that until a year and a half in when my skill level was up and worth that

I’ve pressure washed a bunch of patios and what not in my life, pretty small stuff. But I washed my deck recently and it took forever, I was very sore after doing it. Arms and back. I can’t imagine doing this all day like this, it’s actually pretty physically demanding

I was an HVAC contractor, and that's what I did. If the customer was overly demanding during the estimate, and I could tell they were going to be problematic, I would throw on an extra $100 or $200 to cover us coming back to explain things further to satisfy them.
