I ordered my Sucia card before the trip (on the same site where i bought my JRPass) preloaded with cash. This way i don't have to deal with a ticket machine while tired from a long flight an can head streight for the train.
While this is a nice video, the information regarding the mobile IC cards is just not correct (9:04). I downloaded both the mobile ICOCA and Suica apps on my iphone after I arrived in Japan 3 weeks ago and linked them to my Apple Card which earned me Apple Cash. It took 2 clicks and it was done. Forget the physical card and the useless red Welcome card.
