This is a channel that I will be using to share my art with everyone. I've been practicing digital art for a few years now, and have done something everyday. All of my artworks have been and will be posted to my DeviantArt account, feel free to check it out if you haven't already! It shows my growth from knowing almost nothing to where I am now, and this is an extension of that.
Awesome rendering, I struggle with it so Id love to hear your thoughts and processes? Been looking at your videos for study and curious on your choices.
Thank you! The way I tend to think of it is by splitting the drawing into parts and then having tiers of rendering to do on those parts. So an example of one part could be the torso. The "tiers" of the torso would be where shadows are (use a large brush to put in darker colors for shadow like what I start doing at 1:40). I then will go into more detail, usually adding in more light and giving better definition to the dark areas, typically with a medium sized brush (2:25 for when I start doing this with the torso). After that, I use a small brush to add details or give things harder edges. I normally render all body parts to the same "tier" before moving onto the next tier, and then I do effect/blending layers (multiply, color dodge, overlay, etc.) I do the same steps for clothing, but I also hold off on rending clothing until after rending whatever is wearing it first (not always, depends on how important I view the clothing, the more important the more likely I am to render it early). Hope that helps!
Дружище, твое искусство и труды, которыми ты занимаешься ежедневно - что-то невероятное и мощное! Смотрю с удовольствием, и постоянно сохраняю треки себе. Продолжай в том же духе, ты делаешь отличный прогресс!
"As it floated out of the misty fog. People we're shocked. They thought this creature had died out years ago. It was slain by decapitation and was thrown into the sea. They thought it couldn't be possible for a creature to revive. That was until the people realized. There we're more.
Dragons/wyverns are my favorite mythical creatures to draw, and it isn't even close. I guess demons are up there too, but I'm thinking more of nonhumanoid stuff.
I don´t usually comment in your videos, but I have the need to tell you that even if not much people know about you(yet) I can tell you put effort and creativity in your jobs. Hope it nevers run out ot those things¡ You creatures are specially amazing¡
"The creature was a brewing mess of people's organs and flesh. Started out small and became bigger the more it was fed by the graves of once alive people. Grew into a amalgamation of tissue, organs and flesh. Even when the creature was satisfied it couldn't stop eating. It was like an addiction. No matter how much it ate it strived for more and more."
"Around a estimated time. These giant creatures we're the juggernauts of the sky. They ate anything that came by. Chomping down mercilessly. People call this "The golden era of the avian juggernauts". However something wiped them out of the sky. Perhaps a mass extinction? Asteroid? No. Nothing like that. Infact. Most ground creatures during that time didn't go extinct when this thing did."
I'm happy you like it! I get my ideas from all over, but a lot of the time for these daily drawings I just start drawing random shapes and hope I get an idea. But I also get ideas from looking at references on Pinterest, or just from random ideas I get that I think would be cool. I also, very rarely, get ideas from my dreams. For this one I thought it would be cool to have some wax/candle person melting, and only decided to make the fire an eye after starting the drawing.
