Dear ms Tolman, "A Christmas Carol" was written by Charles Dickens in 1843 in England. The story was set in the 1840's.. "Gone With The Wind" was set a mere 16 years later in 1861. According to Harper Franklin's Fashion History Timeline, in those 16 years there was only the slightest change in women's dresses. It would be extremely difficult to tell that the fashons worn by the women in Scrooge's nephew Fred's house party were not in an 1861 Gone With The Wind party scene. The pictures tell the story. One would have to be stultifyingly ignorant to think that major Hollywood motion pictures in the 1950's were not entirely cognizant of the appropriate styles and fashions, employing, as they did (and do,) the greatest fashion historians in the world. We all look forward to seeing the precise, pictorial research you've referenced.

They're "authentic" because they're real lol I had an old VHS tape with the actual recording from when it aired live that I ripped this video off of, the VHS tape had some issues and would skip every so often like you noticed. Nothing I could do to fix it, but I figured I'd upload it anyway!
Maybe it's just me but like every live performance I've seen of this song absolutely blows, it's nowhere near as hype as the recorded version, every time it's a let down
