I know this is a Japanese PS1 game, but can it be played in a Japanese PS2? I own a copy of Touken Retsudon 3 for Japanese ps1, but it plays in my Japanese ps2
I really wished i could've had this game for my 360 back in the day here in the west - it used the same engine as the DOR games, and WWE DOR 2 is my favorite wrestling game of all time. Difference is i would've kept the DOR 2 audio because constantly hearing the names of wrestlers being called out by Japanese fans would get annoying after a while.
Some paths have multiple endings. Rock’s path has 2 endings depending whether you win at WrestleMania 2000, Foley’s path has 2 endings based on whether you win at that cage match (based off the HIAC match at No Way Out 2000), and Triple H’s champion path has 2 endings depending if you retain at WM2000. For the Rock, if you win at WM2000 then HHH challenges you to an Ironman match (Judgement Day 2000). if Rock loses at WM2000 then you have the rematch at Backlash. For Foley, if you win the cage match, then HHH challenges you to a submission match. if you lose the cage match, you then fight in the Fatal 4 Way match at WM2000. With the defending champion path (based off of HHH’s 2000 reign), if you win at WM2000, then you fight against Andre the Giant at Backlash(and can unlock him), but if you lose at WM2000, then HBK becomes champion somehow and challenges you to a match for the title.
This actually feels like watching a wrestling match, at least a good one. These new games we have now are way too fast. 5 moves in like 10 seconds. Only gripe is the sound. What's up with that? It's just one man and one woman. "Kenta!" "Lesnar!" There's almost no crowd noises.
That’s the atmosphere in Japan. They’re usually silent during the match and only make noise for big moves and sequences. It is funny that they only recorded 2 voices though. 😂
If I were to ever get a physical copy of this game, would I be able to just pop it in my PS2 and play it? Would I have to do anything else for it to work?
It made me mad they didn't add the Big Show to no mercy come on he was literally on World Tour revenge and Wrestlemania 2000 and you leave him out of the last one on the 64 . Bad decision if u asked me at least u can create him and it is him. And not someone else's face that looks like him
