Hi fellow bookworms! I'm Jade and I make videos here about the books I am reading, have read, and want to read 😆 I'm primarily an SFF reader, leaning more heavily to the fantasy side but I do enjoy science fiction. I also enjoy reading horror, mystery thrillers, and historical fiction, and sometimes even venture into other genres, as well as a mix of YA and adult books - so hopefully there is a little something for everyone! If that sounds interesting to you, I hope you subscribe and hang around!
Maybe I am missing something but 80->120 is a 50% increase (40 points is 50% of 80)...and 120->230 is almost double (ie close to 100% increase). I just went through this in May and some of my increases were also about 50% which is too low... 35->38->65->90-> 235->420->630->810->900 -> Methorexate
About the fatphobic part of the book, my interpretation was that the self-loathing stemmed from Ravencourt himself. The way I read it, Aiden is disgusted by his cruelty, but Ravencourt hates his obesity.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I had surgery to remove an ectopic pregnancy a week ago and I can see echoes of my experience in yours. It’s good to feel that I am not alone.
Oh my gosh I felt so validated by this review. I wanted to like this book so badly but it just didn’t do it for me for some of the reasons you mentioned.
Five out of five? Really? I’m on my first read and this is the first book where halfway through as soon as they introduced Tuon I was like “I’m fucking done” and had to put down the book.
Just yesterday afternoon I had ectopic pregnancy surgery 😢, after 7 long years first ever time I got positive pregnancy and this happened just one week happiness turned into sadness 😢, I totally feel you dear , please heal yourself , definitely good news is coming soon, god bless you❤
@@rukayyaahmad4391 I had an ectopic pregnancy in December 2011, 9 months after I had my first child. After my ectopic pregnancy, I had 3 more babies (boys).
Being a big Sci-fi fan, I actually really liked the time travel, body jumping aspects. The tension of running from the footman and the way Aiden’s bodies starting falling like dominoes made me feel like I was reading a really well-written thriller. The message and the ending were the disappointing parts for me. How can Anna be changed or repent if she is an amnesiac who was no idea what she’s actually done? How can Aiden forgive her if he doesn’t even remember what his sister looks like? There can be no true forgiveness when there are no feelings of resentment or vengeance in the first place. Forgiveness does NOT equal forgetting because forgiveness is the process of letting go of negative feelings. Heck, even the reader barely knows what Anna’s done (we’ve only been told, we were never shown) so even the reader can’t truly forgive Anna because we didn’t hate her in the first place. Also, the whole Evelyn was not Evelyn thing just seemed…. contrived and unnatural. A true mystery gives the reader all the clues so that when the solution finally appears, it is obvious when looking back on it. Even when looking back on this solution, it was not the most obvious or believable answer.
Well said! It was a good premise that turned into Scooby-doo with a laughable ending and lots of shortcuts and Deus ex machina. What was the point of the footman, though?
I'm recovering from ectopic surgery now. My surgery was on the 7 week mark, the day before Christmas. I feel so lonely in my experience but videos like yours help. Thank you.
I was terribly disappointed and frustrated by the ending, that Anna was allowed to leave. Imagine Hitler instead of Anna, could you let him go?! Forgiveness can only be considered after somebody feels remorse and asks to be forgiven, which was not true in Anna‘s case. The author has to reconsider his moral vectors.
Currently experiencing this😭 my doctor treated my ectopic pregnancy like yours, expected management because my HCG turns 450 from 1400 in a span of 48hrs so my doc said we will wait and see after a week but now i’m having intense cramps . Thank you for posting this 🥺 You really helped my anxiety. Healing to us🙏🏻
Found you from Worldhoppers. Congratulations on the baby, and I am so sorry that you had gone through these difficult times. I hope you are much better now. Virtual hugs and kisses 💜
Did you on purpose only name female read books, I love a good female protagonist but I'm hunting for a certain feel and these weren't close to the flavor I was looking for. But I subbed anyway. I'll check on some of your other recommendations
