This channel is a side channel from the main SHGP Media channel, and used to host the military and MILSIM videos which I produce. Here you will find aviation, military vehicles, tanks, living history and military modelling content, in addition to regular MILSIM gaming content and cinematic videos.
A lot of the old videos still exist but are unlisted. RU-vid blocked so many of them over the last few years due to the music I'd used back when I used to do these videos. Thankfully this one is still ok
The question is: What is better: being manouverable with a high speed like the typhoon or being SUPER manouverable in low speed like a lot of the russian planes. What does help more against an incomming enemy misslile? What is more effectiv in not getting destroyed or shot down by enemy missiles? In my view - and Im german - the russian planes do look better and their manouvers are more impressive. But both of that only helps in air shows. The question remains: What does really help in a real fight up in the air?
The ability to lose airspeed and regain it rapidly, ability to maintain energy in a high g turn and speed of which you can bring the nose onto target. That said, data links, sensors and weapon systems are far more impactful and very much influence the first guy to see the other coming off on top.
Apart from the F15QA, this was the most impressive aircraft I saw at RIAT this year. Of course,, I also love the Gripen simply because it looks so badass, and I had a good chat with one of the pilots, but the Typhoon was just awesome and so damn loud!
@@BedtimeStoriesChannel thank you. Was spinning around on the spot like a spinning top most of the time! Would start by my chair and finish the display meters away from where I started lol
@@SHGPMEDIAMILITARYANDMILSIM Haha! Well it's great work. On par with Elwyn R, although you seem to get better sound capture than he does. At least through my headphones, anyway.
@BedtimeStoriesChannel thanks, it's a little cheap external mic in a windgag, held on to the camera with a hair bobble as the hot shoe mount broke. Very professional!
I remember as a kid sitting on my parent's roof top watching E and G models fly into McClellan AFB for their C checks. It was an airshow every day. F4's, F105's, RC121's, F100's and FB 111's. Those were the good old days of military power projection before Clinton and BRAC. Great video!
