@@SoftwareDevelopmentiQuasar Have you set up DNS properly so that unencrypted connections work? All of the beanstalk configuration is set up here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FBYe6SSQ1Uc.html
hi there, great video, I was just wondering why you chose you zip your project instead of creating a pipeline linked to your github account, and deploy that way ?
This was so helpful - thank you for sharing! Only challenge I ran into was trying to add more than one domain. For whatever reason `sudo certbot -n -d DOMAIN1,DOMAIN2 --nginx --agree-tos --email YOUREMAILHERE` did not work for me. When deployed, the instance would fail to start. I had to create two separate `sudo certbot` lines and then it worked. Not really sure why since all the docs seems to suggest a comma separated listed of domains without spaces should work. But not for me.
You're making me feel old Professor S - my first modem was 1200 bps 😂. Upgrade to 9,600 was big, then 33.6 and 56k... It's wild to think about Internet connectivity being like 20,000 times faster than it was back in the 90s.
my ec2-user doesnt have privilege to copy to other directories in ssh i must use sudo command but how to have sudo privelage via sftp i think i need to create a aws access key from iam or use some other method but dont know yet
@@ProfessorS thanks i ended up giving ownership of my wordpress directory to nginx which was needed for it to host the webserver sudo chown -R nginx:nginx /var/www then i added myself to the group sudo usermod -a -G nginx ec2-user then i made permission 775 for directories and 644 for files sudo chmod 2775 /var/www && find /var/www -type d -exec sudo chmod 2775 {} \; find /var/www -type f -exec sudo chmod 0664 {} \; I can change back to 755 if 775 isnt a good idea but then the group wont have access to write im still learning permissions To get nginx working i had to correct a few other config files also as they were trying to use apache as the username but thats a different story lol linux seems almost deliberatly hard but i guess its for increase in security :/
Hi! I couldn't transfer my file to an AWS Windows instance from my local machine. I wanted to move a large file from a local machine to an AWS instance. It would be helpful if you could tell me how to transfer it!
You'd need to install some form of FTP server on the Windows server to do it. FileZilla Server is a good option, but there are others as well. I'm sure Windows Server has a built-in one you could enable.
The other day, my grandma asked me about adding SSL/TLS Certificates to Beanstalk and I had no idea what she was talking about. I found this video afterwards and then called her to walk her through the entire process. She is making me cookies now. THANK YOU PROFESSOR S!
my grandpa asked me about deploying NodeJS/Express to beanstalk the other day and I panicked. I found this video while crying in the bathroom. Thank you professor S for saving my relationship with my grandpa
Glad it helped! ec2-user is the default username for Amazon Linux instances. If you have an Ubuntu instance, then the username should be ubuntu, as you pointed out.
Yooooo mega video let’s gooooo, perfect video to watch while mining in my minecraft world, you should make a playlist of these so I don’t have to exit out the window to change the video when I’m mining
