Sure - for the swingarm pivots especially, being able to keep the weight off the pivots while you're getting them threaded is tough, so having a helper (human or mechanical) goes a long way. I'd also suggest being really patient - the first time I reassembled a swingarm, I rushed and ended up cross-threading one side. It was a lot more work to recover from that mistake, and had I been a little more patient and slowed down, I could have avoided the extra work.
Please visit www.bmwmoa.org/events/event_list.asp for a list of all our events and those of our chartered clubs and partners as well. Our next National Rally is in 2025 in Lebanon, Tennessee (rally.bmwmoa.org) and we'd love to have you join us!
3 wheels = sidecar!! (just kidding ... you'd have to ask the PCBS organizers, but my bet is instead of having a separate category, they just added the trike to the hacks and had fun with it)
Call it a 50-60% improvement. Definitely noticeable and very appreciated, but not a night-and-day difference. Bike immediately felt more stable in hard turns and straight-line riding was smoother.
Have you ever gotten your SC2 equipped helmet to be paired to your BMW’s TFT and be on intercom with your passenger at the same time? I can’t seem to get both to work at the same time, it’s one or the other.
Hi - I've never been able to pair the SC2 to two devices at the same time. I don't have a bike with a pair-able dash, though, so I attempted connecting to my GPS and iPhone at the same time and that didn't work either.
Maybe... but it's not going to run well (if it runs at all). The O2 sensor data is read by the fueling system and is part of the magic that makes everything happen. If you were to remove the O2 sensor(s) permanently, my suspicion is you'd have to retune the fueling system to adjust for the missing components.
@@BMWMOAorg well I've been riding with the o2 censor but it's not attached to anything, I took it off the CAT and I've been riding like that for a few months no problems 🤷♂️
Try plugging it in to recharge for a long time - overnight, maybe. If it powers up after that, you might want to try doing a "factory reset" or "reset to factory settings" - it might be called a "hard reset" in the manual, I know other manufacturers call it that. If that doesn't work, you might need to visit a dealer for further troubleshooting. Good luck!
True - but I recommend using exactly the oil(s) specified by BMW while your motorcycle is under warranty. If there's a problem and you used any other oil, a warranty claim might be denied.
Looks like a well-designed and constructed piece of gear. The only complaint I would have is they should have included a pouch for the manual as it will get torn up over time riding around with the metal pieces. A pouch sewn into the bag for the paper would have been a nice touch as would pockets on the side to hold the smaller parts - something like the pockets made to hold shotgun shells in a shooting jacket.
It appeared your tire rotated as it was being installed which would throw off the dot relationship. I have found with my NoMar that it helps to both hold the tire with my free hand while rotating the mount lever and also to “lead” the valve stem and inch or so with the dot so that a little rotation brings it right in line.
This device looks similar in ease of use to my NoMar changer, but has the advantage of being much easier to store and is more portable. My biggest complaint with the NoMar is there is no good way to store it as it takes up a lot of space.
Personally speaking (i.e. not an official MOA position) I think you're right. IMO the No-Mar is great for a permanent or semi-permanent setup, while the Rabaconda excels at portability - I could see using this trackside, trailside or on the side of the road if absolutely necessary.
It is good to see a “first time” use like this. When I bought my NoMar changer many years ago I had watched the videos and it looked super easy. Well, my first few changes were a huge struggle and nothing like what was seen in their videos. However, after about 4 changes, things got a lot better and I can now change tires (after probably 30 changes or more in the last 15 years) almost as quickly and easily as what is seen in NoMar videos. There are a few key techniques you learn that make a night and day difference.
Филигранная точность. С удовольствием смотрю, их соревнования. Пусть в их работе , это будет "самый трудный" день. Здоровья и удачи . Допил кофе, поеду катать свою Ртешку.
Dropped right in the 550 class it was a hooligan machine, not the image BMW was after, I got one new here in the UK mates were buying jap 550s my St had them for breakfast, I wore through the engine bars then the rocker covers, my silly day’s I live to tell the tale, one very quick machine.
Great video, especially as mine had that "hidden screw" saved me a lot of time and trouble. I was hesitant to do the job or not but your patience and thoroughness are greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I've had the sc1 advanced in my c4 pro for about 2yrs, haven't been really happy with it and now it seems to be cutting out constantly. This popped up at the perfect time.
The first time I saw this style of bike I asked "Where is that dudes seat?" I wish I was 35 years younger, this looks like something I would have enjoyed at least trying.
