It be nice if Ubisoft actually did the decent thing and just remade it, or at least put out a next gen port Instead of just making about fifty open world franchises and recycling all their mechanics lol
One suggestion is that you not fix the camera directly behind Rayman while jumping. The original Rayman 2 camera also follows Rayman's vertical movement while jumping, but slower. Instead, they tilt the camera upwards in addition to slightly moving the position of the camera upwards; and Rayman will end up higher in the screen at the height of his jump. Similarly, when Rayman falls, the camera tilts downwards in addition to moving down, and Rayman ends up below his regular position when standing still. You don't need to copy Rayman 2's camera exactly, just be mindful about it.. ;) Rayman 3's camera paints an invisible box around Rayman while jumping, and as long as Rayman is jumping within the box, the camera will not follow Rayman's vertical movement, only the horizontal one. When Rayman then lands on another platform or hangs on its side, the camera's vertical movement aligns itself to the height of the new platform. When Rayman gets outside the box while jumping, say to helicopter to a far-away platform, the camera reattaches itself to Rayman's vertical movement, tilting similarly to Rayman 2. This causes a strong pull as the camera suddenly re-follows Rayman which might seem unpleasant. But within the box, the movement is quite smooth. What would your solution be for a 3d platforming camera?
I have one nitpick which is the fact that rayman looks a little bit big for the environnement maybe resizing the character will make things better but overall good job!
Well done! I remember playing the N64 version as a kid and had a blast trying to enjoy the adventure, even though I sucked at video games as a kid lol.
Hey man, great tutorial. I did everything as you said but RPCS3 doesnt recognize my PS4 guitar even with GHL Poke Machine running in the back. Any help?
