Definitely one of the most impressive videos I’ve seen about the model Y Thank you. Do you offer any precut kits shipped . If I was close I’d already have an appointment. Same car KAVACA Ultimate IR
I now own a Tesla Model Y Blue color, so I suppose that would be my favorite :) Loved this video. There is so much details and so much work that goes into it. Where are you based? I wish I can bring my car over to you to get the ceramic coating done. I am here in Phoenix, Arizona
Nice video, very well done with detailed explanation. I'm planning to try my 1st ceramic coat DIY soon, so this video will come in handy. BTW, can you use regular ceramic coat on headlights? or does it have to be plastic ceramic coat solution? Thanks.
Really good video, shows all the work that goes into it. So glad to see the attention to detail. But I have to wonder if a better solution for the owner would have been PPF and a light ceramic coating. Because with the ceramic it can still get road debris dings.
I just picked up my 2023 model y last Monday so far it’s the nicest car I have ever had. I have always had pickups so this is a charge. What’s it cost to have this done to a model-y ?
I needs Llumar air 80 on the windshield. That’s where a large source of the heat comes from. Don’t forget to use soak shields! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jhvC2o2zqMs.html
Just curious..how many people at your shop have PPF vs a ceramic top coating? (I understand the answer varies base intended use of a vehicle, its age, and aesthitic preference, etc.) I don't know when it's best to call, but I've tried calling your number listed in Google maps. Can you post your number or email in your "about" section? I'm getting a vehicle delivered next week and wanted to discuss a vehicle treatment.
Sorry for the late reply as we just got around to seeing this! The difference in ceramic coating vs paint protection film really lies mostly on what the customer wants. A lot of the newer vehicles that come through our shop opt to get paint protection film right from the start to try to keep the paint in as perfect condition as possible. While a ceramic coating can protect from marring, oxidation, and light swirls/scratches, paint protection film protects against the harsher elements of driving such as rock chips, scratches, and other road grime. We find a majority of customers opt to protect the most "impacted" areas of the vehicle commonly being the front bumper, headlights, hood, and fenders with paint protection film while protecting the rest of the paint with a ceramic coating. There is definitely a lot to talk about so feel free to reach us at (973) 668-8892, or stop by the shop any time M-F (8-5) or S (8-2). We will also add the information into our about section on RU-vid, thank you for pointing that out.

great video of the process. What kind of wax does the Tesla on on it from the factory? Does the S1 soap remove all of it before you apply the ppf? Can you put a link to get the soap? Thanks
The Tesla shouldn't have any real waxes or sealants on it from the factory. If anything is there, it would be dealer installed. The S1 soap helps remove everything from the paint but the final step right before ppf installation is cleaning every panel with 91%-99% isopropyl alcohol to ensure that the surface is clean. Here is the link to the soap: glassparency.com/collections/wash-prep/products/gp-s1-heavy-duty-soap
