I'd love to hear about how dimensionally accurate this print was. Also, did you have to drill and tap any holes or do any other post processing other than sanding?
you can design threads ( not in AlSi10Mg that they used - that's a bit soft ) , additively made , that don't require threading / post-machining after . the usual accuracy is -/+0.05mm in X and Y (depends on position on the print bed among others) and some 0.06mm in Z - depends on the layer height . the repeatability however is extraordinarily ( depends again on layer height and powder size dispersion variation ) the unusual variation generated by the thermal stresses thanks to the part geometry can vary quite a bit but you can compensate for and / or generate a design that reduces that
