A few seconds in I thought you were at a Bob Marley tribute concert. 😅 I expect to see a slight premium when buying in person but 30%+ over eBay is a bit much.
While I do not disagree with the sentiment of not paying over eBay solds, but if you are going to suggest that cards should be less at show because the seller does not have to pay fees it’s disingenuous to ignore that that vending at a show comes with the cost of the stall, cost of fuel to get to the show and then all the time spent organising stock and serving customers at the show, and the risk of thieves. Arguably it costs more to sell at a show (particularly in London) than it would to sell on eBay so to expect a discount on the basis that the seller isn’t paying fees doesn’t quite fly for me.
Many vendors state they will go against ebay fees and go X% under solds. I have vendorered at a couple of shows, I know the costs, I also know that you will sell a far greater quantity in a short space of time at a card show as you would on ebay, arguably ebay takes more time as you picture the card several times over, store it, sku it, pick it, pack it, post it
@@JamesCollectibles if you know the dude msg and ask if he’s gone through them himself yet if not double his money and you’d still do well, I’d love to find a box like that used to have pages of the same cards first eds shadowless etc when moving house as a kid they got left outside in a box and I lost most of them, that the bloke selling them just didn’t wanna go through them himself was insanity
