Factually if you look for a model before 2010 you can purchase a basic 2000 for around 5 mil not all this 35mil bs, lmao. Corporatism really is trying to eliminate the average person to OWN a private jet, BUT its still obtainable on a partial sharing program and sacrificing certain amenities!!

Since when does the Challenger 650 come with Collins Proline Fusion avionics? Proline Fusion is offered as an upgrade for the aging Proline 4 avionics in the Challenger 604. According to Bombardier's website and to what I've seen so far, the Challenger 650 features the Proline 21 advanced avionics, which is not all too different from the Proline 21 in the 605.

I drive the LR45, it is a great A/C but you don’t normally fly @M0.81, that’s MMO! The 35/36 handles better and looks better. Brakes don’t wear out? Bullshit! Why do they have break wear indicators then?

Is there a general range (percentage wise) between list vs sell price? Does it compare to high-end real estate with a 5-10% spread? I see a lot of ads for straight CJ's in the 1.9 -2.2 million range, but you mentioned 1.6. Just curious as I'll be in the market in the next year.

So this is completely wrong. Wind adjustments do not get added to reference speed. the reference speed stays the same. The wind corrections, if necessary get added to the approach speed not the reference speed. The reference speed is the speed you should be going over the threshold regardless of wind conditions normally. It sounds like this pilot was carrying extra speed all the way to the runway which is incorrect. And that’s why he had such a problem. If Honda jet pilots are being taught this way, that would certainly explain why they’re having a lot of problems.

45 minutes of reserve fuel. The pilot is in charge of keeping himself and his passengers alive. He got himself in over his head, got low on fuel and then bitches about everything else except the fact that he made a series of bad decisions. The controller yelled at him? Poor baby. It happens. Especially when you are in the wrong. If you are that low on fuel, you advise that you are fuel critical and when you get more critical you declare an emergency. You don't argue about what runway you are going to land on. And Fabrizio is exactly right......when you flight plan, you plan for contingencies and you plan alternates because things don't always go as planned. This guy didn't learn a damned thing. He's still making excuses rather than admitting his mistake and admitting he almost got himself and his children killed. Grow up! I've got over 10,000 hours in total hours and 3,500 hours in my Phenom 300 and I have NEVER gotten fuel critical because I plan. Airports flip around all the time. Hell, TPA can do it several times a day. It's a part of flying. It's YOUR responsibility to fly your airplane and be aware of EVERYTHING. Take responsibility for your mistake. You might learn something and not wind up on Dan Gryder's channel on Sunday night. If you don't you will be a case he goes over.

The problem that appears to be the common theme in these owner operators is the fact they are LOW TIME pilots with very little experience in flying jet aircraft. There should be a mandatory PIC time requirement of at least 1500 hours total time and SOE requirements that mandates these low time pilots to fly with experienced jet pilot instructors for at least 200 to 500 hours depending on how many total time they have at the beginning.
