Back in the 90s when Lofton was fast, I think it was ESPN that did a commercial about him for an upcoming televised game. It showed Lofton on first base contemplating whether or not to steal. There was a little animated devil on one of his shoulders encouraging him to steal and a little angel on the other telling him not to.
He's my favorite baseball player ever. I met him 2x as a child and he was by far the nicest athlete. Paul O'neil on the other hand was a f'n asshole to me and cursed at me (i was like 8 yrs old and asked him for an autograph) he than took the ball I had threw it in the air and hit it and started laughing at me and walked away...
should have seen me praying that the indians would beat boston. hanging onto the coffee table and my eyes glued to the tv. If I could just jump into the tv and win it for them I would have. lol

Hard to believe with all the playoff experience he had that he never won a ring. I bet he could still bring it if he decided to come back. The art of base stealing is lost - I'll put my money on a 50 year old Kenny Lofton to steal me second base over the juicers out there now.
Dude, he was good in 1999 and broke his body. It's 2010 (2008 last reply), so he's done. He's out. I still can't forget the slide that broke him though. That was a tough game all around. The beating from the Sox was enough, but to have Lofton hurt just ruined it. Find some open source music for this stuff. I hate pictures, but it'd be tolerable with music.
I am with ya! We REALLY suck now because they are trading our best players and getting NOTHING for them! I just dont know what they are thinking in the Indians front office.
Anybody remember those MTV softball games where it would be the MTV VJs/Celeberities vs. MLB players? It was a good 10-15 years ago but I used to love those shows and Lofton did it every year and was always great.
Every team Kenny Lofton goes to, all of a sudden, they start chirning out wins every night:-D Well, except in Texas & Pittsburgh unfortunately. If there's 1 guy who deserves a ring that hasn't got one yet...he's the guy:-D
omg! where was I for some of his career?! LOL. I didn't realize how many teams he was on. Glad to see him back for a third time and hopefully he will end his career here.
